Multiple Coil pack manufacturers part numbers (inside)
Discussion
I added this to the equivalent parts thread, but thought it important enough for it's own too.
I have found an excellent resource for coil packs, might try the NGK or Beru, or the Hitachi smile

Lots of options

Is it ok for me to add this information to my "This place is like heaven on earth topic" ?
Your above link throws a 404
This link any good, select brand of coil at top left of page? https://www.diycarserviceparts.co.uk/electrical-li...

Yes of course, please do, - the coils are for the AJP8 Cerbera.

That's great infomation thanks. I'm thinking of starting a sweep through fo the electronic parts like coils and sensors as it would be nice to have everything at a know level and with decent brand parts.
No worries, it's nice to have some good quality options, rather than Bosch v Chinese unknown. I've bought some NGK, £73 for two delivered is an excellent price.

It's an interesting site, even shows the various distributor caps and coil units required by a 2001 4.5 Cerbera ;-)
Some of the options for coil packs for our cars:
NGK U2009 (48030)
Lucas DMB200
Inter motor 12613
Lemark CP201
Delphi GN10488-12B1
BERU - ZS232 and ZS341
Champion BAEA232
Hitachi 138760, 2508760
Magnet Marelli 060717043012
Meyle 40-148850005
Valeo 245040
Can't believe that all these manufacturers are making these. I am assuming some of them are a single source rebadged by the manufacturer.
My Bosch coil packs lasted 1500 miles, I am going to go with NGK this time.

Hi Imran, that was the point of my original post, to show the options (under cross reference tab) - I should have been clearer. Some of the options for coil packs for our cars:

I've just bought NGK, and they come with a made in China label. I queried this with NGK, and they confirmed that is correct. I haven't fitted them yet, so can't comment more.
Bought from

They are an NGK approved distributor (pun? )
Thanks for posting Duncan, a great find actually.
I just summarized some of their cross references for myself and thought I would share because it amounts to a lot of options!
I remember 20 years ago working with TDK Japan, they gave me a tour of their China manufacturing facility, it was actually really impressive and they were very proud of the quality control they had achieved (in an offshore facility).

I should have listed them like you did I just summarized some of their cross references for myself and thought I would share because it amounts to a lot of options!

Nice to hear re TDK China, China can produce high quality stuff, but I think it's a good idea to go with a respectable brand like NGK.
It was a toss up between them and Beru for me.

I will be ordering the NGK ones.
And I’m seriously considering relocating them out of the V, they must sit at 200degC in there!
If your packs sit at 200degC in the middle of the V I think you have many more issues than warm coil packs.. And I’m seriously considering relocating them out of the V, they must sit at 200degC in there!
Probably more chance of them getting cooked if mounted on the inner wing as they will be above the exhaust.
I had a couple of the Bosch ones go faulty quite quickly after fitting, I guess they may well have had a temporary quality issue, latest ones have been fine.

90-100 shouldn’t be too bad.
Not sure if the coil packs have transistors in them, but if they do, the life expectancy of active silicon components falls off a cliff very quickly after 120degC.
I know that the first lot of coil packs that the car came with lasted a good 8 years into my ownership, how long they had been on the car before I am not sure. I then fitted a pair of new ones which lasted about a year and now these ones currently on the car have been one about 4 years. Not sure if the coil packs have transistors in them, but if they do, the life expectancy of active silicon components falls off a cliff very quickly after 120degC.
On the whole longevity is not too bad.
