window pop down problem
Discussion
I've just gone and done it - bought a 4.5!!
Having trouble with the windows not winding up/down when I open the door - are there any obvious things I should check? Is it easy to remove the door panel to check the switch? Also the demister and air con have intermittrent connections - where should I be looking for the fault?
Loving the car though - just need a dry road!
Any help much appreciated by keen newbie!

Sorted windows. Thanks for all your help.
First port of call is to check fuse, then sensor at the bottom of door with magnet, as it"s a magnetic switch. If this works it may just need adjusting/cleaning. Be careful not to bring the switch too far out as it will damage the sill and may push the magnet inside of the sill when the door is closed.
If this does not work it is a simple case of removing the door skin. It is quite a weight and best done with two. This will prevent damaging the internal wiring loom, which on my car is much shorter in one door than the other! Then disconect electrical connections, clean and spay with some form of electro lube. The windows should then work. If not clean and lube little black sensor switch which works out window position. If windows still don't work then there is probably a proper problem with control box. However the feed back I have been given is that if the control box was f****d then both windows would not operate.
Hope this helps.
