Having just picked up my early 4.2 after 2 weeks standing outside at Barnet and 1 week probably outside at Coventry, all 4 footwells are extremely wet. The car is always garaged when i have it and i have never noticed any 'leaks' of any sort previously. The wettest footwell is the drivers which is showing a 'tide-mark' of approx. 1/2 inch (maybe from the thick mats?). The car has been in for a new clutch / bellhousing, any advice would be greatly appreciated as to the probable cause and cure for this problem.

Just spoken to the dealer, apparently 'they all do that sir, i have a parking lot full of them', he suggested liberal use of a vax machine. Just hope i can get rid of the damp feet smell!
