Had the clutch done at the weekend. Took 3 hrs for the engine and transmission to come out, 1 hour to adjust the valve clearances (a pig of a job with the engine in), 20 mins to replace the clutch plate, then 4 hours putting it all back together. Got some good pics of the Murcie with no engine and it coming out if anyone can post em for me?? Anyway the clutch is so bloody light now I keep stalling it..
Si,
That engine is a monster!! What was the state of wear on the clutch plate when they got it out, ie how much left on it? I'd be interested to see what its like after 25K or so. Sounds like yecombe did it virtually in a day then, not bad going. who said exotics are difficult to work on!!!
Andy.

Hi Andy, None of the Lambo dealers did it, but for no other reason than cost..Clutch had quite a bit left on it though
Hi Simon,
Saw your car in at Lambo Manchester when I want to pick my car up a couple of weeks ago.
Were they taking a look at it?
They also had a couple of month old Murcie roadster in that had the engine out to sort a weeping oil seal under warranty
That carbonfibre cross brace on top of the roadsters engine is a piece or art.

For what it's worth I know of a manual Murciélago with 38k miles which had its clutch replaced at 25k miles too.
PS : seems liks the cats are integrated into the exhaust manifolds, like on the Gallardo.
How many lambda probes ? One per cylinder bank ?

Yea it was in for a ticking noise from a hub bearing, and a new throttle body (£1000 under warranty).
That Murcie Roadster is still there, engine not back in it yet. They also have a Diablo Roadster with a lot of engine work in there. Got rather bling chrome wheels tho..!
Glad to see your using the motor.
25k on one clutch with a well utilised history.
Is good going to be honest when you think of the power it's having to deal with.
Good pics, didn't realise the engine was so damn big!
Keep up the good work.
p.s.
Cars in the park 7th May , well gotta ask.

Tha cats are not integrated into the manifold on the gallardo, they are two separate units which clamp on after the manifold. I've replaced my cats on the Gallardo with the larini test pipes, sounds awesome now.
Si, you've got to ditch those cats as soon as its out of warranty or knowing you even before!!
