I don't see any one way of enjoying a supercar as 'better' than another way, just different.

Personally I'm uncomfortable with the perspective of looking down on the "wrong" sort of supercar owner and taking pleasure in the idea that certain groups may no longer have the opportunity to enjoy these kinds of cars. I'd be happy in a world where everyone who wanted to could enjoy owning a supercar, even though that would make them less special and even though some (many?) of those people might enjoy in them in ways I wouldn't.

Really not into the car shows or coffee meets tbh much prefer an early morning hoon and full English afterwards. Yeah seems the tide is finally turning I'm guessing finance on any new supercar now is over 10%? New car prices seem excessive in general interesting to see what happens over next 12-18 months.
What would music be if it were never live and only experienced through your headphones and without the shared experience of an audience.
Er…better?
My thoughts exactly as I was reading it hehe

Don’t need a single other person apart from my wife to enjoy our cars..
For music, A live concert adds atmosphere but we’d need to be on the fringes overlooking the crowds rather than being ‘in’ the crowds, (feck that) but it adds nothing to the music itself, an incredible sound set up in your own home when you have no neighbours is absolutely the best way to hear your favourite sounds.

Hoping all this adds up to sensible prices for older stuff.
My planned series of 308GT4, then 328gts, 348tb, testarossa was broken when prices suddenly went mad.

They are not mutually exclusive, as i pointed out a 2 hour 6am hoon to a morning cars and coffee with your mates followed by a 2 hour hoon back in time for lunch. Perfect day driving & meeting like minded people. I am not into single marque meets, can't do a car park full of McLarens or BMW's, needs an eclectic mix to get me interested.

If these events did not exist then car culture and car appreciation would eventually die out. What would music be if it were never live and only experienced through your headphones and without the shared experience of an audience.
I was more referring to the coffee meets where people just end up standing around for an hour without the requisite hoon either before or after...maybe more of a thing stateside.

I was offered a Testarossa for £22k in 2009. It needed some tlc but wasn't terrible

Yeh I looked at a nice one in late 2008 that was under £30k. I could barely give my 328gts away at the time.

I seem to recall a Countach for sale in the late 80's for around £35k. At the time I commented that although it was cheap it would be rubbish as the newer lambos were so much better. Plus old was not desirable back then to a 20 year old petrol head.

Funny how ground breaking becomes rubbish becomes classic and unaffordable all due to the passing of time.

Bang right some crap comments from clearly banned/returning users who probably don't even drive supercars anyway. PH desperately needs an ignore function.

Good for you smile i dont and i’m very comfortable with that.

the majority of people who are not comfortable with that will be the ones who can no longer afford one, i’m also betting they didnt have a problem revving their cars to adoring paps on oxford street or similar, or pretending they owned the car when flaunting at shows, nah, didnt think so.

The truth is, you cant handle the truth hehe

Now stop crying like babies about the fact you cant afford the monthlies anymore and spend more time out there working, get your head down and work a bit harder, save up and buy what you can afford and be proud of it, or is that too much like hard work for you?

Are you able to write a post without alluding to how much wealthier you are than us peasants?

I dont think so, sorry, very happy and proud of what we’ve achieved, if you feel inadequate thats up to you to address, if i felt inadequate around someone elses wealth or achievements i’d do something about it, i dont.

There are reasons why but i doubt the ‘i want it now brigade’ would understand, they might do after the incoming lessons, then again, maybe not..

The NPE aggression isn’t really the done thing on the more civilised areas of the forum.

It was more of an observation really

Honestly I’m pretty happy with my underachieving, you don’t need to be more wealthy than someone else to be better off

That’s very true and the best (only for me) place to build from thumbup
underachieving to someone else makes not a jot if you’re happy with your lot and its all the achievement you need, all the more power to you.

News out that Ferrari is now selling more hybrids than pure ICE. And sales are up too in general. So not sure where the supposed drop is coming from? McLaren?
I’m not fully up to speed, but doesn’t Ferrari only sell 2 hybrid models, the SF90 and the 296?
The former was a flop, and I can’t believe they sell more 296s than all other models combined?
