News out that Ferrari is now selling more hybrids than pure ICE. And sales are up too in general. So not sure where the supposed drop is coming from? McLaren?
I’m not fully up to speed, but doesn’t Ferrari only sell 2 hybrid models, the SF90 and the 296?
The former was a flop, and I can’t believe they sell more 296s than all over models combined?
What else were they delivering in Q3 this year? 812 still in production? Purothingy not yet.

Is there anything else?

Roma of course! I still haven't ever seen one on the road.

Portofino was stopped by then, no?

Ferrari are still delivering Portofino Ms. You haven't been able to order one for a while but production hasn't ended yet.

SF90 was not a flop. Around 6,000 made so far.

Ferrari UK registrations:
Q1 2022 - 285
Q2 2022 - 312
Q3 2022 - 256
Q4 2022 - 232
Q1 2023 - 271
Q2 2023 - 285

(Q3 2023 not yet available)

As you would expect, given the cars are built to order and ordered many months in advance, the numbers are fairly consistent (also considerably higher than they were only a few years ago). Any down turn in orders will be showing in the coming months.

I do feed the new supercars are too expensive now and the lack of a good sounding engine and the feed back from steering. I ended up buying over the last few years a Noble m600, 430 scuderia and a diablo sv. Might not be the fastest cars around but driving pressure is 10 out 10
That is a great trio of cars you have chosen. I would love to hear more and see a picture of the M600.

Really not into the car shows or coffee meets tbh much prefer an early morning hoon and full English afterwards. Yeah seems the tide is finally turning I'm guessing finance on any new supercar now is over 10%? New car prices seem excessive in general interesting to see what happens over next 12-18 months.
What would music be if it were never live and only experienced through your headphones and without the shared experience of an audience.
Er…better?
My thoughts exactly as I was reading it hehe

Don’t need a single other person apart from my wife to enjoy our cars..
For music, A live concert adds atmosphere but we’d need to be on the fringes overlooking the crowds rather than being ‘in’ the crowds, (feck that) but it adds nothing to the music itself, an incredible sound set up in your own home when you have no neighbours is absolutely the best way to hear your favourite sounds.
Very much in that group for live music. Love the events and the performances, and the atmosphere that the croud creates, however I'm happy to observe from a distance.

Also very much love the cars and coffee kinda caffiene and machine atmosphere as well, but don't see the appeal of large shows or cars surrounded by tape and ribbons.

Classic car racing every time for me!

List prices have increased massively
Depreciation playing catch up for the last four years
Finance costs have doubled

It is not a surprise that sales have slowed. I am not sure that finance rates are going to come back any time soon and when they do the residual values are going to be so low I struggle to see how the "monthlies" are going to be anywhere near what they once were.

I've bought two classics in the last three years....for me they've been a revelation in the amount of fun they have been to own, both in terms of driving but some of the events I have done with them. I am not convinced that on modern roads faster/bigger/heavier cars equal more enjoyment. Depends how you seek that enjoyment though clearly...different people have different and equally valid ownership experiences.

I like the thought of returning to the days where exotic cars were rare, where the buyers of these cars, and everyone else, knew they’d lose shedloads of money. When they were bought through passion and not through profit. When you could buy secondhand at a fraction of the new cost and kid yourself you could stomach the running costs. Somehow, in my eyes, that made the cars and their owners so much cooler than recent times.

Ahh yes, the dim and distant heady days of, erm, well probably up to about 12 or 13 years ago when the older stuff started to go mad.

I really like these - would love to have one of those to play with
Also had a Scuderia, but had to sell it to release cash - great cars and one of the best boxes I have ever driven

They are an extremely healthy company run very well and have a blue chip global brand with the ability to diversify into other geographical areas and emerging markets extremely quickly to maximise profits.

F1 seems to be both rapidly growing its total revenue while constraining costs, so F1 teams are seeing ballooning valuations too.

USA economy seems to be staying fairly strong, which is likely a big part of Ferrari's sales. So I guess the Ferrari-specific upsides are out-accelerating the overall world economy's poor outlook.

But whilst huge in monetary terms (plus their additional bonuses) F1 is not the biggest profit driver for Ferrari, hence it being buried in their financial results as marketing. They are simply selling a lot of cars all over the world for very good profit margins. Purosangue will ramp this up even further as it will be an absolute cash cow in the Far East and Middle East.

Meanwhile in the UK the market is not great, six month old 296's now seem to be trading at £70k under list.
