You are overlooking the fact that Modball etc are also BIG social events with lashings of hospitality laid on. It requires staff and money. A world class DJ for instance will cost anywhere between £10K and £50K for a 3 hour set.
In the case of Modball "incidentals" such as speeding fines and petRol can easily add another couple of grand to drivers' proceedings. Messy yes. Memorable certainly![smile](/inc/images/smile.gif)
I think I'm too old or too tight to want to watch some DJ spunking £10k-50k on some music just to appear trendy. In the case of Modball "incidentals" such as speeding fines and petRol can easily add another couple of grand to drivers' proceedings. Messy yes. Memorable certainly

Love the driving parts obviously but some people obviously have more money than sense spending £4k + on 3 days in the good old IOM :-)
If it was Monaco and then some mountain passes I could see the cost benefit perhaps.
Will be fun whatever your budget and whichever event you choose. Like busses these IOM events lol, 3 turn up at once....

You are probably correct ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
Monaco has been done to death, even though I always enjoy the Alps, and some of the tours popping up at motorsport destinations such as Pau, Isle Of Man and Oslo offer something fresh.
You pays your money....

Yea it's interesting to see new events. I've done the IOM lots of times and it's generally quiet outside TT events and will work well for super cars. Depending on plans we might pop across in April ![biggrin](/inc/images/biggrin.gif)
