I can have a car from 3 different dealers. This car IMHO is not a patch on the Scud....I am also of the view that they will fill every order...They can not sell new 458s here in the UK. you can see what is going to happen , they will just ramp up the 458SP. This IMHO will also lose big bucks in a short time. Along with the guys at Woking have car coming out early next year, in the same price range as the 458SP. that will make the SP look like a push bike....That I promise you........
Is the Woking car going to be an MP4 -"Speciale"?Edited by APOLO1 on Friday 4th October 20:29

Has a base price been announced for the Speciale yet?
not officially but £200 + options was mentionedWho knows tho!
In today's world where what cash there is cash is chasing classics as well as new, and where epic levels of depreciation irritates even those who can afford it, why didn't Ferrari limit the run of the Speciale, if it's truly special?
Talk of open slots, discounting on "standard" 458s ( which by anyone's definition of a great car is up there with the very best) plus Ferrari's declared limit of 7K vehices per annum means I can't easily see Ferrari's logic in not creating limited editions when based on existing models which already offer remarkable performance and which are softening by the day.
Yes, the obvious answer is that Ferrari thought it could sell many Speciales.
But doesn't this already feel too optimistic? The Scud was unlimited but was an obvious big step up on the 430. It was a different marketplace too in 2007 when the Scud was unveiled. Perhaps there's no price yet on the Speciale because Ferrari wants to gauge reaction?
Based on the buzz so far, and current sales of the 458 berlinetta, I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Ferrari is having to sharpen their pencils more than expected. In 2009 they limited the 16M to 499 units. I think they should have done the same with the Speciale.

not limiting the SP was a big mistake in my view...I suspect that they will fill every order I see no reason as to why this will not follow the same deprecation curve a the 458. Along with the 100K at least cheaper 991ts will be faster.,IMHO This early 200k 250k market place is very Ltd .More 458 Facelift in my view

Not so sure about the 991ts making much difference, no doubt it'll be quicker but like every other turbo Porsche the values will tank. When does 458 cease production? Sorry I Ive missed it!
nah....don't think so.....only 12 cars left unsold for this year...As for tanking...The 458 holds the cup on that one..100k to the penny one FFs..under a year and 1.5k miles, Along with 458 SP, Ok big spec..98k loss 11 months and 800 miles....The 458SP will in my view follow the same way...There are only so many people how have the means to buy these cars.....

What car has lost 100k? I missed that. Why do you not think the Turbo will lose value it usually does and that's because the GT3 is the choice of the petrol head!.
The 997t was and is quicker than the 458 and that followed the downward tradition.
