Is the Gallardo a Supercar?

the term supercar arose in an era when being fast was the exclusive reserve of cars of a certain heritage...
then came the lotus carlton, closely followed by the e39 m5 (5l v8 400hp) and the horsepower race began....
nowadays, sports versions of mainstream models hit 100kph in under 5s and the gtr chases hypercars.... the term is totally meaningless in the modern world.... even production numbers are so far in excess of exclusivity that that definition does not wash.....
yeah, but what about the green cars ?then came the lotus carlton, closely followed by the e39 m5 (5l v8 400hp) and the horsepower race began....

now, you raise a highly technically and valid point...... yes, any bright green, mid engine, rear drive car is indeed a supercar.... 70proof said:

I teach/lecture Product Design to both children and adults. I have had a think about this arguement which is omnipresent on this forum and have come up with a quick acronym. See what you think, but remember you have to judge a car in its era and to be a Supercar it must fit all of the criteria in the acronym.
Tell me what you think, which I am sure you will.
