Go drive an SF90, 296 and 812, I'd never consider the SF90 just find it totally unappealing to me. 296 I really enjoyed driving, considering its power the car is truly fun and deploys the power well, but I preferred the Artura to drive, far better steering feel and a smaller more confidence inspiring car on the road, but for me the Artura lacks the visuals, sound and is plagued with issues so not an option I suspect. 812 the last NA Ferrari, one of the best V12's and last of an era, a true hooligan of a car to drive, sideways on command, epic fun.
Agree about STO looks epic, but not that practical, having driven the Performante and Avantadors I found them capable but pretty boring to drive, have driven the EVO RWD which was more engaging but never good enough for me to want to buy one, maybe one day.
Maybe try an MC20, great looks, I'd probably not buy one personally but still a potential candidate.
Replacement for the 812 is in the works, all signs pointing to an NA V12 again (project name F167, plenty of spy shots etc). Rumours suggest Miami GP 2024 unveiling.Agree about STO looks epic, but not that practical, having driven the Performante and Avantadors I found them capable but pretty boring to drive, have driven the EVO RWD which was more engaging but never good enough for me to want to buy one, maybe one day.

But ultimately if he's looking for a non-depreciating car it'll be a limited edition something. Maybe a 296VS at RRP
I went from Pista to SF90 Assetto Fiorano Coupe, different level, sold my Pistas 6 weeks after tracking and road tests in Italy.. I’m 6’3 and those SF90 racing seats are the best I’ve had ever known including 918 Spiders..you are at the perfect time to buy an SF90 AF Coupe, i took a big one in the nuts but these at 360/370 now with XX on the road in June at £1M plus will hold up your values.. same wont do V6 Ferrari anything including 296 VS and 812 is not last N/A V12, the replacement will be and they made a ton of 812 GTS, still producing them until Spring 2024 and there values are the next to plummet. If 812 will be your choice and you are worried by values buy a 2018 2019 pre GPF Coupe.
I’m waiting for my XX next year and then I will start going back through the back catalogue. Just bought an F12, brilliant brilliant car, and will add back my old 458 Speciale when they soften. For me the only Ferraris you need in the garage are F12 & 458 Speciale, on hindsight total pinnacles of V8 & V12 and Luca d M era..
Good shout on 991 GT2 RS though, however I paid list at 210 and I don’t think they are worth more than 260/270 in current times..

Ah I missed the bit about being too tall for Huracans. STO and Perf out the window then.
I don't, frankly, think there's much that you can purchase today that's going to be reliably stable - value wise - but I think in the next 3 months or so, they should bottom out. That's just my opinion of course.
812 GTS, as said above, produced in quite some numbers and have already taken a massive tumble from their initial asking price on open market. But I think there's still more to go - mostly when F167 shows up next year. Currently £319k is the public floor, I think when F167 is unveiled we will see this at circa £260-270k next winter, as people seek to ready themselves for their 167s. Of course, 812 SFs are an option - and frankly I think they're a pretty decent bet, given they can be had for £210k, I see the drop in those being far less than the GTS given the F167 will more than likely end up with a high £300k list, and into the £400s spec'd.
Your other option to consider is to potentially pick up a cheap(er) Speciale. There are a few that are hovering around the £330k mark. That might be a pretty solid bet. https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202310273...
This one is £319k, I don't think you'll suffer much on this. Might be a bit too similar to the Pista for your liking, but imho it's one of the few that will be "OK" in these conditions. Not saying you won't lose money, there will still be dealer spread, but it may hurt less.

They've only made about 30 of them so its hard to know real-world experience. This guy rates it and clearly uses it:

Noble M600? Different and special.
VERY TRUE but how usable as i drive alot! did 10k in pista! This makes a lot of sense.
Gts have been dropped out and some specs into the stratosphere... As a result once they are 3 years old it's very difficult to justify paying 60k more for one with huge tailor made spec when it may be very close to the price of the new replacement car. As a result I see some big drops on those coming plus plenty people don't want to pay 400k for a second hand car.
