What do you do? Trade in one work of art for another? I guess you've had/experienced the 355 and that could be a reason to try other things. Only thing is you are still in the honey-moon period with yours. Could be a good opp. to switch to the 360 as you've never had a major problem and will always see the 355 as a perfect car.
Don't envy you on this one. It's like trading in great totty for......great totty. Can't win, can't lose! You could justify a switch by saying that a 355 will be much cheaper to pick up later on if you begin to miss it or prefer it over the 360.
Personally, I love them both in different ways. Get the 360 and pick up a 355 at a later date. Just avoid all planks of wood when you pick it up and drive it home. If you need one more voice to make you do something stupid......"just call my name.....and I'll be there".

Maranellouk, please don't tell me Manu has been telling you too! I bloody nearly started the ball rolling with a deal last night, under the influence of Manu (whats your charge then? Buying under the influence of Manu). Drove the 355 back from his place and hey back in love again. Manu and his cunning mind tricks were (very effectively) convincing me to get a 360 Spider that Graypaul have at £115K, financing around 50K of that. He's too good a salesman for his own good!! Problem is insurance will probably rocket again as its nearly £50K more to insure, and I'm a stranger to finance, so don't want to get shagged paying £5K a year interest, despite Manu's calculations that I won't lose overall due to depreciation. BTW, if anyone needs to be convinced to buy a car (or a tubi), or need their wife convincing (in the best possible non purve Manu way) then Manu is certainly your man. I tell you he plays mind tricks! No, Ajay wisely advises that I should wait until worst of winter is over, and seeing what happens to prices then. I'll see, waiting for a call back from the dealer but I'll have to tell them I've changed my mind. And, worse than that I still haven't found a house with a decent double garage. And yes, Manu did try to convince me to use the house deposit money.... and "You can always sell the Supra too!"

House money eh? No, if you didn't already belong to the best club in the world I'd say go for it but the 355spider is perfection. Maybe just go over to Manu and sort out the 355 with a tubi, although the deep throated exhaust of the 355spider is beautiful.

Who needs salesmen when you have everyone egging you on eh Ninja? Have you thought about SORing the car now and buying next spring? It would be easy enough if you were after a Modena- do it now; the spiders already have been depreciating but has yet to hit any real turbulence. IMO it will, as the 355 spider did. Bear in mind it's 3 months to next February

Kev is right. Get the Car, Im sure that's what he said. The Cars at official dealers are all commanding list at the moment. No matter what mileage or age. Come next year with sniffs of a 420 coming there will be almost no move in 360 Spider prices (better weather increases demand against owners dumping theirs for new model) Bugger then i have to take into accoount the 1st QTR market is heavily influenced by City bonuses which are to be loooooow this year so maybe they will be squeazed a bit more.
What I mean to say is who knows... But please do what YOU want to do. Life is certainly too short as my driving errors keep trying to point out to me, so do it and dont regret it.

Had to go to Maranello's service centre today to drop off the 355 - Wow !!!! They gave me a tour and its very impressive and absolutely huge. Having seen it I wouldn't take a Ferrari anywhere else. Two beautiful F50's in there.
Also had to drop off some documentation to sales ready for next week so that has added to the build up

- You are likely to go through the 25K psychological mega-mileage mark very shortly...
- You are due a mighty service bill for cambelts,etc which is unfortunately NOT going to be measured in just hundreds of pounds.
- Doing this service will not significantly improve trade-in value.
- The cats could die (and because you will not fit my test pipes 'cos you're a bastard) it could cost you even more cash
- F355s are dropping quick right now.... QUICK.
- 360 Spiders ARE due to drop but production volume guarantees that they will not drop that low...
- where do you see 360 Spiders in a year - I reckon NOT below £100K with reasonably high probablity... I reckon that's the threshold... WHO predicts 360 Spiders below £100K next November - I DON'T (famous last words).
- dealers are in PAIN right now... they may well move either on price and/or (if you're lucky) trade in....
- come spring - weather WILL have an effect...... they will NOT be so willing.

I've got too many obstacles trying to obtain the 360. The finance: although apparently I can get over this one in various ways.
The Insurance: the ceiling my insurance company will allow for a cars value is £85K. My insurance broker can find another insurer but my policy will be cancelled with a pretty shit rebate.
The garage: tight fit for the 355, let alone the 360. And my house hunting is still proving fruitless. Its so hard to find the right house. And they're all so bloody expensive! I was thinking of biting the bullet and getting a flat with secure underground parking, but I want a garden as I planned on fitting a Canadian Spa.
I'll be 25 by March next year, cambelt change time, so I think thats change time.
I agree with what the guys are saying, most of it anyway, but its too complicated for me to complete the deal. Bastard thing is the 360 at Graypaul is in red with cream, scuderia shields and red piping, red calipers. My absolute perfect spec!!! Damn it!

IMO give it a month. By December/January I think you will be able to gauge just how low spider prices of both 355 and 360 tipos will sink to. Now IS a good time to buy without question but the flip side to that is it is a crap time to sell. You will not get what you want for the 355. Hold out till feb/march and you will be in a better position on all fronts, but dont wait till may/june cos those 360 spyder prices will not move in that period.
