Islero for 45K euros
Or - since you're on CD - check out that black yum Jarama . . .
Old Espada stuff.
The one they should work on.
Murci Barchetta . . .

Good descision!
The original Muira was bold, beautifull, technically advanced and set a performance benchmark.
Precisely the opposite of this sad pastiche
Agreed, 100%
You shouldn't resurrect an old icon if the new design simply makes you pine for the old one. The original Miura was so much more sexy than this sad thing. It's kinda like the Lotus Elite... which do you think fetches $40,000.00 today and which is lucky to fetch $5000.00, the gorgeous 1957 Model, or the Izusu Impulse look-alike from the 1970s?

I agree, but at least the Elite (541?) wasn't a retro model of the original Elite.
And I like the 70's Elite. I want one.

I totally agree.
Ford and their recent GT wasn't a bad attempt a reviving an old concept, but this lambo remake would have been sacrilegious.

At first I thought what a shame, because most of us look back at the miura as one of the most beautiful cars on earth. However it is refreshing for a company to go forwards instead of looking back after running out of ideas. More power to them I say!
I agree - as exciting as it was to see a modern interpretation of such a legendary car, it did disappoint slightly. A lot of the detailing on the original is missing, so it looks a little plain and unimaginative by comparison.
Finally some sanity.
Even in the photos that thing wasn't a patch on the real deal (and modern laws probably make that an impossible thing to match).
Lambo is lambo for being outrageous in context with the current time. Not for rehashing (badly) one of the best things ever produced.
If only I were less than 5'8"!

i would say at thier near 2 tonne weight, lambos arent exactly sports cars.
moreover they are more then sutable for grand touring.
i dont see how this kind of retarded logic stopped them from going ahead with the Muira... Was an awsome looking concept...

I've been speaking to a contact at the factory about this and I can tell you that the 'statement' isn't what it appears. Its true that there isn't enough capacity to make the Miura at Sant'Agata. That was never a plan. But remember where 102 Gallardo's were built a couple of years ago? And where the new Murcie Evo is being signed off right now? At Neckersalm in Germany the VAG group factory.
Just to digress my colleague has seen the new Murcie Evo in the flesh,it has 640bhp not 650, has a glass engine cover complete with slats, additional radiators and a larger scoop under the door sills. The cam covers on the car he saw were gold and the wheels had gold inserts(a la Miura.) The example he saw was in gun metal. Its rear lights have circular inserts in them too.I'm not sure its going to be at Geneva though.

Glad to hear that the Muira II (or whatever it's called) may still be made.
I wont throw my letter of intent in the bin just yet, then.
The Murci Evo - sounds interesting - was that featured in this months EVO? I thought the Murci evo had the new V12 in it?????
But I hear that Lambo are working on a Murci replacement - Carbon fibre monocoque - which will increase the cost substantially - but will reduce weight, give better vehicle dynamics and the associated good stuff. Not due for a few years yet. Sounds much like a Pagani Z to me (which is kind of interesting as HP ran the Countach evoluzione programme - the Carbonfibre Countach).....

Hello mate, no the Murcie featured in this months Evo was just the 06MY. Only difference over the 05MY is the option of new trims and ceramic brakes (which it needed from the outset anyway). The new one called the 'Evolution' has lots of new bits and a straight enlargement of the existing V12 to 6.5 litres.
