Si. There's a vicious rumour (let's call the perpetrator "Andy" that you won't have a date for the event. Obviously I'm appalled at the thought of you being on your own so I'd like to invite any female PistonHeads members to email you, with accompanying photos. I always like to help the needy!

I know its bloody sad isn't it!
I'm coming over from Ireland to go to the Supercar Celebration and will be driving from central London on Saturday morning, hoping to get to Brighton for about 10 a.m. I've heard that the traffic can be bad and have been told that the drive can take up to 3 hours at the weekend. Can anyone corroborate this or give me any indication of how long the drive might take?
Thanks!
(I'll be in a borrowed Audi A3 with German plates so honk if you see me!)

juniord said:The only bottleneck I usually hit when going to Brighton on a Saturday morning is the very bottom of the A23 leading in to the city, I've sat for an hour here before. The motorways are usually fine. I usually travel from north London and it takes a couple of hours on a good run.

I should say that with a bit of planning you could easily avoid the usual jams, I only go that way because it's convenient for the hotel we usually use.
