The Maroon SE30 built for the Sultan was bought by a very nice chap who took my Dad around Goodwood one afternoon during an open day. Don't know if this was standard on all SE30s, but this car apparently had adjustable anti-roll bars too - car looked and sounded absolutely fabulous and Dad reported the experience would have been perfect were it not for the giant numpty in a tweaked Escort RS2000 who obviously thought he was up to the task. Have it on video, but I'm not sure I can post it with my limited intelligence.

Same chap appeared, with his son, in a TV show for the Discovery Channel on the history of Lamborghini, also showing off their red Countach (subsequently used for a buyer's guide in a car mag).

I believe the same chap used to run a dark green Countach before the Diablo.

I can confirm he works in IT. He taught me everything I know about doing 4 hour days so he's not a drug dealer...

saying that I have been to Glastonbury with him.... I think.

Peteoheat - how are you fat boy!

You can drive when I can find a shoehorn big enough for you to slide into the car.

Deal?! :-)

Anjum -

So, you bought another one did you? Have you still got the 550 as well? If so, we'll have to arrange a little photo-shoot visit, as we've currently got both cars in a game-demo that we're doing, but they're only from photos. Unfortunately the cars in the game have the lights and windows smashed out, and graffiti sprayed down their sides, so for the sake of realism, we may just have to make some modifications to your cars first....

By the way, saw another post about a loud Cerbera. Pah! I think that Anjum can confirm just how loud my Cerbera was! Current car is a Griff 500 with full-race upgrade from TVR Power and no cats or silencing of any sort. Loud? It physically hurts!

Hi Pat!

How are you? I've tried to contact you - but don't seem to be able to email you.

I was out with Dave Alder (had Griff and Tuscan) from IOW - get in touch and we'll have to hook up!

PS - I will happily confirm that Pat is certifiable. Make NO mistake!

Humm - I appear to be in the wrong line in IT then as I had to sell my (albeit first) house to buy my Chimaera!

Lovely car and my only experience of Lambos was two cars behind it on the Sea Cat on the way back from Le Mans. We've got a classic 4-seater Lambo coming with us this year so that should be great

Back to Pat's Rasberry Cerb - I seem to recall that due to various illegal activities that there were flames on the over run...

Got to get new rear tyres due - can't think why....

Hi to all fellow Balhamites,

Small world, as I am currently typing this post in an internet cafe in Balham (there are now a total of 6!).

Good to see some rare cars with all the Volvos, Saabs and Skoda's here !

Anjum,

I also used to see different coloured Lambos' parked up (a SV then a sweet black 6.0)usually on the right) bottom of Em***** Rd, just after the common. I used to take the scenic route from Kensington to Harbour Club, er via Em***** Rd (nowhere near) to see if they were out. If you ever saw a blue Audi cab or a black 550 lurking outside it was me. I always hoped I catch the owner driving off and turning left at the lights to race up the hill towards Streatham or tempt you to lay down some rubber on Trinity Rd.

A friend of mine has an Espada on Trinty Rd and he always asks me if "that crazy guy still keeps his Diablo on the street"? I never thought you were a drug dealer. I did however think you had balls of titanium leaving such a beast outside.

Never driven a Diablo but it is something I've always wanted to buy.
Good on ya. Enjoy it.

Have you ever driven the car in Europe? How does it feel at light speed? And have you become blase about custody of Satan's chariot?

I ask only because of an immature and uncontrollable lusting which must surely have been with me since the pre-natal stages of my existence!

Also, looking at the photo; do you actually park it on the street?

Curious indeed!

Drive the car all over europe - absolutley loves the billard table smooth Frech A roads!

It's great fun in Italy - hopefully going back to Tuscany in September, where the car seems happy to be home!
