For no reason other than morbid curiosity I'd be interested to see what the cost was if you felt you could share.
Saw the update on Ricky fb page yesterday and assumed it was this project.
Chuffed for you and I know Ricky will have done a 1st class job.

I know what happens and even I’m excited for the next instalment.

I think I have found my new blog author!

Thank you to everyone for the lovely words and comments throughout this build thread.

Also thank you to Simon for trusting us with his pride and joy. Always lots of little (and big in this case) setbacks in a project like this, but he has always been very understanding and very willing to allow us to go the extra mile (in time and cost) to get the high level of finish we wanted. The end result is quite beautiful.

It’s also very nice that over the last year and a bit from meeting “Captain Tea Boy” he has become a friend and frequent visitor/take the pisser at REP HQ.

I hope that doesn’t change!!

Cheers Ricky

It’s amazing how time flies, it doesn’t seem like a year.

It has looked amazing at every step, and back together looks incredible.

Have I missed the conclusion to this somewhere? I'm interested and hear about the finished article given the huge amount of work that's gone in.

Really sorry. I’ve had the car back for several weeks now and it really is awesome. Waaaaaay better than standard! In fact, it’ll be back with Ricky tomorrow for it’s 1000 mile oil change. I’ll re-read the last few posts (to get back up to speed) and finish the thread off soon. Standby.............l

Give the guy a break fellas. He's been deprived of his pride and joy for over a year, who can blame him for wanting to just drive it. smile

What an amazing journey this has been. Looking forward to reading the conclusion.

Well done Ricky, it's already obvious that Simon has fallen in love with his Lambo again.

Good point.

Enough of this Lambo stuff, they'll still be around in 10 years time but an Mk1 Focus? A friend of mine just scrapped his, surely as time goes on remaining examples are to be coveted!
