I’ve looked at the 2010 car as I want a red 458. They’ve offered a good price on my R8 and a reasonable discount on advertised price. Only downsides are 7 owners and the alloys (currently trying to see if they will change them or go further down so I could pick up a used set).
7 owners in 10 years is not bad for a car like this, As long as it has full S/H and you get your 24 month warranty I don't see an issue. My old car had 5 owners when I bought it and it was 4 years old. Never had a problem with it really. jsw777 said:

Interesting as I also have an R8 to trade in. I wouldn’t have considered it before as I love the R8, but if the gap closes between the two I might take the opportunity to have a 458 for a bit. What I suspect is a lot of dealers will be reducing the offer on the R8 whilst holding relatively firm on the Ferrari. Haven’t tried negotiating anywhere yet though. Did you discuss the switch with many dealers lately?

Unfortunately the two cars I’ve liked the most have been low on the R8 and not moving on the 458.

I am trying to buy a 458 with no PX and the dealers are all very very firm so far.
I have tried two indi's and two ferrari main dealers for varying cars.
The indi's are not interested one bit especially as their finance is expensive and i can get it cheaper.
Ferrari just say 458 last nasp Ferrari etc etc.
The one i want is a nice spec but is all its money i can see.
I have played the old "buying a car this week card" and they dont even call to chase. All i can think to do is wait a few months there are more coming on the market daily at the moment and not one i was interested in has sold for the last 5 weeks. Once these dealers are back to work the reality of sales will kick in i suppose. I know its very expectant of me for a price move but realistically we all know its coming there will not be plenty of buyers out there... will there? seems to be a few in this thread alone
ref 2010 car. Wheels put me off but you can buy others, then when you see a car with Carbon driver zone and put age against it... I am not sure its great value either.

Yes, a lot of dealers don’t seem to be budging on prices, however I do expect that to change in 4-6 weeks as we go well into the summer and reality unfortunately kicks in.I have tried two indi's and two ferrari main dealers for varying cars.

I’m actively looking for a car too and am surprised you say that as dealers knock off £5k easy without trying too hard.
I find it easier to negotiate when taking finance. Get a quote and give them around £300-400 a month less to what you want to pay monthly...they will quickly drop the price and APR to a rate that works for you
Did the sums on one of the cars the other day and it worked out to £8500 off their advertised price!
