I stole this pic from Peloton, the fountain of all knowledge when it comes to McLaren, over on teamspeed. I hope he does not mind. It was taken at the opening of the Beverley Hills dealership. I have never seen one in this colour, but all I can say is "Wow!!"

I think it looks stunning....

that's exactly the spec I ordered...then cancelled! Volcano Red and super lightweight wheels

You say that but it is still rather annoying - not just sat nav but bluetooth and radio too (unless you happen to live in a city then the radio will work, but where I live no radio for me, just crackling).

Whilst we are on the IRIS subject the Meridian Sound system upgrade is rubbish - glad I did not pay for it. The £800 optional Harmon Kardon system in my C63 is far superior, and from what I can tell there is no sub-woofer in the MP4-12C, so when you turn the sound up the mid range gets very distorted trying to cope with the bass as well, which is a shame.

Fact is my smart car is faster point to point as I dont have to keep pulling over to answer my phone wink

I wouldn't call myself a fan of the MP4-12c, but have to admit, that this colour really suits it! Shot this at Chelsea Auto Legends a few months ago..

Gorgeous colour (and good photograph).

And people say the 12C is a bland sports car!

Just reading EVO magazine's COTY edition. Anyone know about the various ailments their test car suffered? Do they concord with the findings of owners over here?

Everyone knows there have been issues.
With the 8.2 upgrade of parts and software these are apparently fixed. The ecoty car was prior to this

Only remaining issue is supply of Iris for which all owners have been adequately compensated

The USA are bowled over by this British Car and Mclaren will be able to sell their total build in California alone. I predict that the UK market will get less cars than originally planned

Something I've been wondering about - I know that 12C issues and niggles have been a hot topic on enthusiast forums like this and in the motoring press, but have these matters been more widely reported, either in the UK press or further afield? The documentary currently airing on BBC2 looks to me like pretty good free PR for McLaren. So something like this, alongside the possibility of there not being a general perception of 'unreliability', could mean that the car's reception beyond the UK is unaffected?

Tim glad the dealer treated you well i have been very pleased with London (Lancaster) BUT Tim these cars are computers on wheels - upgrade means the car is the current generation and will remain so for the 3 year warranty periodbiggrin

The volcano red looks incredible.
The white and carbo from the OP looks great too, something I didn't try on the spec builder.

The thing with the MP4-12C for me, rather than enjoying looking at them, it genuinely just saddens me that I'll probably never own one of these cars... it's pretty much the same feeling I get when I see Jennifer Anniston.
