"So in summary- Aventador for show, Performante for Go!"

Have to agree with this statement. I love the Aventador ( especially SV ) to look at but sadly thats where the love affair ends. Real shame as it would be awesome with a decent gearbox and hopefully the next gen will get one
Im sorry but I don't agree with that summary.

I managed to actually test drive one last night and am in love! Whilst in sport the box is a bit clunky, in Corsa it's on par with the perf IMO.

IMO and as other people I have spoken with echoed, the perf anyone can get in and look like a driving god as it is so easy to deal with whilst with the SV it takes a lot more skill and dedication to extract the most from, whilst the perf sounds awesome the SV is on a whole other level, I was hooked after thirty seconds.

The way I would summarise is the Perf is like a precision scalpel whilst the SV is more like a super Sharpe meat cleaver, the theatre and drama is out of this world.

Anyway deal done and collect next week - will post pictures up once collected.

Thanks again for all the help gents.

Yes to be fair he quoted me but in my defence I drive my cars and I felt having paid well in excess of 300k for a car I shouldn’t have to drive around a comprised gearbox.
The Aventador has road presence and theatre in spades but fundamentally it’s not a very good car and that’s because of the drive train and for me that’s too much of a compromise. I speak from experience!

Nothing compares to a V12 Lambo and for me the SV is the ultimate modern Lambo. It's beautiful, it's raw and it screams Lambo. There's not one bad angle where you can honestly say the car is ugly or weird. It's prefect. Sad that we won't see another Filippo Perini masterpiece.

I haven't been keeping an eye on the UK market for SVs/Perfs because I'm currently residing in LA but here in America the SV market has soften quite a bit. You can pick up a SV coupe for around $480k. The SVJ rumors are putting downward pressure on prices because no one knows if the SVJ will be rarer than the SV. I'm actively trying to get an SV before prices start to creeping up again. The HP on the other hand hasn't dropped as much as I expected because from what I heard the HP is done next year as the H refresh is coming out. The dealer out here reckons Lambo might end up producing under a 1000 HP coupes and spyders total.
