I was lucky enough to be the offical photographer for that defunct group. I did not get paid but did get to go out in the cars as a passenger a fair bit. I must have spent 600 miles or so in that Zonda each one of which was pure heaven. Everything about it was incredible as it is such a special car. The colour was fabulous as well. It attracted crowds like nothing else at petrol stations and was even quite dangerous on the motorway as White Van Man would be driving and videoing it at the same time and verring over...
Ah very cool. It's a beautiful machine.will_ said:

Enjoy!
edit: Incidentally, does anyone know what happened to Group20's F Roadster? I loved the orange paintwork, has it gone to HK or China?
For some reason I think it went to Singapore?edit: Incidentally, does anyone know what happened to Group20's F Roadster? I loved the orange paintwork, has it gone to HK or China?

Well what the hell can I say, you sir are a hero and I doff my cap to you. As others have said the Zonda is a dream car for many but a possession of the lucky few.
Would I be right in thinking that that is chassis number 76043 which used to belong to David Cooper who at one time was the UK's best paid lawyer?
I am a little embarrassed to admit that I did not realise this car was even for sale, I must be losing my touch

Very nice indeed. Congratulations. Do you have any concerns that it has averaged less than 500 miles/year?
I've just parted with a lot of money, so yes I have plenty of concerns! But hey ho you only live once and I just keep telling myself I have swapped paper for a beautiful machine that is also a work of art. If the worst comes to worst I can always sit in it, look at it and stroke it! Probably shouldn't sit in it whilst stroking it though .I Just thank my lucky starts I'm not a Cypriot who has had their money stolen, better to spend it than have it nicked!
Sometimes you just got to say bks, life is short and go for it!
At some point in the future you just have to take it home to the factory as a bit of a pilgrimage just so that you can meet Horacio and shake his hand. But be careful as he has the ability to extort large sums of money when your back is turned.
As this car is an early one personally I would keep it stock, as stock Zonda's are becoming rare at the moment. The early cars also sound different to the F's that followed; some prefer the more bassy exhaust note.
Anyway congrats again.
Someone really needs to organise a UK Zonda owners get together over the summer, now that would be a sight to see....

Do you know how many Zondas there are in the UK?Personally I also prefer the orginal version, think it looks much better than the PS version and the one that Lewis has

I think I'm on the cusp of doing this at Wilton House, and quite by accident. Over the years we've had various Zondas attend, but if my current list of invitees (and already confirmed) cars comes together we could potentially hit double figures this August. I agree, that would be quite a sight...Cheers

I don't think it was. It's been in storage for quite a long time (2years ish?) I'd guess Kev knew it was sitting there and put in an offer?Fantastic car anyways, the first Zonda I saw in the flesh. I hope to see it out on the roads now!

Exactly. We lived in Cyprus for 7 years, and decided to close our business and move back a year ago. Boy are we glad.....I Just thank my lucky starts I'm not a Cypriot who has had their money stolen, better to spend it than have it nicked!
