He is comparing like for like. He is right.
Not he's not. A Balboni or Singapore edition are not standard models. a STANDARD f430 manual is hovering around 130-140k.....normal gallardo manuals are averaging a lot less. There's a blue manual STANDARD GALLARDO in the classifieds for 62 grand.find me a standard manual 430 anywhere near that.I enjoy my lambo (e-gear, #lifstyle) and will enjoy it a lot more when the weather turns. And the good thing is, I don't give a toss how much it's worth.
Whichever way you cut it your AVERAGE manual gallardo is worth less than your AVERAGE manual 430....it's not a pissing contest it's just bare facts and to suggest anything else is just disingenuous..
Average asking price of all Gallardo manuals today = ~£151k.
Average asking price of all LP Gallardo manuals today = ~£247k.
The market pendulum is definitely swinging now in favour of the Gallardo. It is why the F430 market has started to slow -- money is being switched to the Gallardo this year.

I just don't care ....lambo/ferrari/ macca.....I don't care, I'm more interested in what interests me not concentrating on what interests others. I can't believe I've contributed as much input as I have to this thread given the total futility of it all....they're all great cars and we should all thank our lucky stars that we are fortunate enough to drive them

Driving a Ferrari is like sex with prostitutes. Its an adrenaline rush before you get in, is over too quickly and you'll spend the hour afterwards looking over your shoulder for the police. Then you'll want to do it all over again until you are financially ruined / in prison / hospitalised.
I'm puzzled how you would know ? Please elaborateYipper said:

Averages are notoriously unreliable and easily abused. Well done. Nicely timed. Well manipulated. Gives a profoundly distorted picture. Should be a politician.Average asking price of all Gallardo manuals today = ~£151k.

Always better to talk straight: Average price of the 8 'standard' manual Gallardos is £89k.
I was driving through my local town centre this morning. I'm doing about 15 in traffic and coming the other way in similarly slow moving traffic is a Ferrari California T. I was quite saddened by just how unremarkable it looked. Those generic "fashionable" front lights and the relative chunkiness of the car made it look like someone who's used to designing non-premium brand SUVs had been allowed to have a go at doing a sports car. Ferraris always used to look spectacular when juxtaposed with regular cars - so low and wide and almost shockingly impractical. This just blended in and looked saddeningly "accessible".

I kind of like Ferrari and would have probably bought one if a) the salesman took any notice of me and b) the level of service met my expectations.
Anyway the weather is nice and if I was at home I wouldn't be replying to this thread I would be out in the car burning up the petrol.
