I'm sure you enquired about one of my 550's when I had it for sale years ago. You would have had a lot of change from £200k then, I think I was asking about £50k!!!

Seriously if you haven't had a Ferrari yet then a Scud is a great choice. But very close in price to a 458 which you will probably use for more long distance touring and is almost as visceral in most ways.
For some reason 458's do very little for me whilst the rawness of the Scud does. Sometimes there are just too many choices smile

Another is the AMG GTR Clubsport.

Details being released in September with deliveries due around March 2019.

Rumoured to only be an allocation of 40 cars for the UK market and all apparently pre sold.
I guess that means I have absolutely no chance of getting one smile

You clearly know nothing and don't work in the trade so you can spout as much slander as you want. I'm for real and here to stay.
Let's see you produce facts to the contrary.
Those are real world figures I have access to and you clearly dont
Until you can prove otherwise instead of speculate I suggest you pipe down.

Always make me laugh when wishful thinkers come on here trying to talk prices down and think they can waltz into a dealer make a derisory offer and bag a bargain.
Yes some cars are speculatively priced and remain unsold for ages but then there are others clearly sold low to realise cash quickly but this does not represent the core transactions.
Every used car is unique and different and so are the specs and prices

I cringe every time I hear car salesmen say they work 'In the Trade', like it's some sort of elite special forces unit, when, in reality it's got to be the dullest, most uninspiring, soul destroying job ever and populated by cheap suit wearing, a-holes with delusions of grandeur.

"Cheapest coupe is £244k so that would be some negotiation. We should of sent you over to Germany to speak to Adolf Hitler back in 1939.

£200k will get you a 720S but I'm afraid not even close to the bottom end of 675LT. McLaren dealer told me yesterday they were paying trade £250K + for them "

[Quote RamboLambo]

Furlonger and Romans both have (or had) LT's at around £235k and I was offered one for under £230k. The old press car was offered to the trade at even less. It wont be long (months) before you will be able to get an LT for around £200k. Spiders are even in the £260's now so I can't see trade offering over £250k if they are being sold at under £230k unless they are very high spec roof scoop cars. Since when does anyone believe what a car dealer tells them they are paying for a car anyway!

So for a little over £200k an LT would still be my choice.....

If I can hold out for a few months it'll be very interesting to see where these cars are.

An LT or a Performante for £200K would be nice biggrin

Don't bank on it. Not even high mileage low spec cars will hit that low this year unless the market has a complete melt down.

I have a buy back value on my Performante coupe for when I change it into a spyder and its considerably more than that.

Pure fantasy and wishful thinking

https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/...

Would argue £269,950 is closer to £270k than £260K but hey its only £9,950 rolleyes

I'm definitely not banking on it. Whatever anyone thinks is pure speculation - for me more than most as I haven't seriously been considering these cars for more than a week or so.

However, I'm a bit more knowledgeable on all things Porsche, having previously owned 19 examples. I can confirm that as far as the 991.1 RS is concerned, prices have fallen around £30K in the past few months and they still aren't selling - that's quite a big jump in he market for these cars. The smaller number of gen2 cars initially hit the market at £300K or a bit more. They are now £250k retail and again (generally), don't seem to be selling.

Cars being advertised at £250, 260 or 300K means absolutely nothing if they aren't selling at that price or indeed aren't selling at all.

Was at the Salzburgring today - the usual GT3/GT3RS where there but also 3 GT2RS and a 650 - the GT2s were much louder than I thought - to my ears as loud as the 3s, just guttural as opposed to screaming. The 650 sounded very bland in comparison imo (it looked quite good though in a flat grey Colour and was fast best as I could tell)
Was not keen on the sound of the Speciales either - might have been short shifting though
Best sounding car was actually a 996.1 GT3 imo - not sure if standard exhaust though

I know this did not contribute much to the discussion, but thought it was more fun than he said/she said re LT values

And to add to the cars being discussed - I was again very happy with the Scud - a lot of fun to drive on track - although Brno last weekend was a more entertaining track

You should really try one imo - I was not keen on a not-manual car before I bought it and even considered conversion to manual, but am really happy with the transmission

Out of the blue I noticed one in Porsche Cardiff of all places.

Going to pop in and take a gander when I'm back in the office next week.

Its like Dads Army on here at times.

We are all dooooomed !

Don't panic Mr Mannering, a correction was overdue and we are coming towards the end of another season. Nothing to see hear.
Brexit will eventually go away and when confidence is restored the used market will probably bounce as new car prices aren't getting any cheaper.

If the worse comes to the worse you ride it out. Only those under financial pressure will sell at a low point.

Buy the car you want and drive it like you stole as much as you can to maximise the fun out of your purchase. No fun sitting on the fence
