Hey Gulzar,

I just wanted to say thanks for everything you've done. I've spent two days reading the entire thread and the whole episode has just been one of the most entertaining things that I've seen in a long time! It's massively refreshing, not just what you've physically done to the car but also your attitude throughout the entire thread. Please don't sell the car! Have you thought about strategically placing LED's externally? A mixture of the Japanese Lamborghinis and Audis R8 engine light with inspiration from the latest TRON film... It would take a very special car to be able to pull that off...

Just out of curiosity, where do you find someone to glue a load of crystals onto your car? I could just see my mechanics face if I asked him!

Why the obsession with Swarovski crystals in the general population? Aren't they just bits of glass or moulded plastic that sparkle, or are they made of something more precious than that? I just don't 'get it'. Do they somehow infer class or wealth simply because they sparkle? confused

If it really is just the bling of the sparkle then I can understand their appeal, but why do people pay a premium for Swarovski when there must be dozens of alternative suppliers who can manufacture them.

From my very brief understanding of it, it's simply just a brand name that has been built up very well , due to some very clever marketing. Swarovski crystals are good quality but I'm pretty sure you can get just as good ones that aren't "Swarovski". As for why they're more, again it comes down to being a well know brand name, why are a pair of "Levi" jeans 2 or 3 times the price of normal jeans? Purely because they can be!

As much fun as he's had with this thread, I think he may well see the downside very soon...

I don't think it looks THAT bad right now apart from the diamond effect thingy on the instrument cover, but I suspect you are correct.

Same was said about phantom when I sold it in under 24 hours!

Have decided to sell (at advertised prices and no less or no sale!) and buy something again in the future... instead of hold onto these and let them depreciate more and even tually upgrade! have signed contract to buy another hotel in sussex and I proposed to the missus few weeks ago! So will have much less time to play with these toys than I use to! Range Rover will be my main car now as its so comfortable, 5litre engine, amazing sound system, 5 ppl can sit plenty luggage space etc!
