Yesterday whilst I was walking on Port Dundas Road in Glasgows city centre a sky/light blue Maserati Quattroporte passed by me. The 1st one I have ever seen in the flesh!.

My god it was beautiful, even with its winter suit of crap tossed up by the road surfaces at this time of year.

Its safe to say that the Quattroporte is the only car that has struck me so much recently, that I can say, "Yes that is the most exclusive, beautiful car on the road today".

Did that whole thing you do when you stare at something, and not a second thought comes into your head saying "Look where you're going".

Aww inspiring car

Looked a bit like this one:

Then today, was travelling along the M8 near Livingston, when a black Quattroporte passed my going the opposite direction... superb!

I think the niche that the Quattroporte tries to settle itself into, is the looks department!.

M5's, RS6's etc are the car equivelent of a pumped up brash muscle man, whilst the Masser is the subtle, stylish and cool character, who's stature is somewhat understated.

Yet it also has the poke to escape from the 'lower classes' if need be.

To put it simply, buying an M5, or RS6 for instance, you have to explain what it is to make non-petrol(piston)head people notice just how amazing these cars are.
Yet with the Quattroporte people notice the car almost instantly and ask questions about it, then you can explain what it is all about.

To put it even more simply - Beauty doesn't have to be explained, people instantly get it!
