Hi - my husband went out yesterday and bought a replica Lambo - which yeah I agree looks amazing - but ...........................................

I feel really let down at the moment, as I purchased this from ebay, yes the car looked amazing, sounded amazing etc, then 30 mins into the journey home it started smoking, I stopped and couldnt get car started again and wheel hub nut has come off and wheel was dangerously close to flying off.

£352 later with car nearer to home I have a car that won't start, needs a new lambo hub nut, I have no idea how to lock the car.

The guy from ebay is being really awful and is refusing to help me out - he knew there was a problem, but sold it like that - which could have prooved fatal had the wheel come off on the motorway. I wouldn't have minded had he told me the faults, so I knew I had to get them done. AAARRRRRGGGGGGHHHH

Could somebody please help me and advise me where do I start to get a car like this looked at and where I can get a hub nut from and get the wheels re balanced (as you can tell I'm a bit blonde when it comes to cars ) So if anyone out there can tell me what to do - or knows of someone that has a clue and lives near sussex - PLEASE get in touch.

Thanks

Louise

Yes thats the ebay git that sold it (ebay listing shown above) - unfortunately, my husband thought he was doing the right thing............and on reading the feedback people dont seem to have had a problem buying from him, the negative feedback is from purchases he made.

There goes my savings ............... not sure what to do now. the hub nut thingies have the lamborhini pic one them. Think its time for me and hubby to do a crash course in mechanics. !!!

Thanks to everyone, I just feel really numb right now, that was all my life savings and I have nothing now, I guess I've learnt a valuble lesson - unless anyone out there fancies a replica, gutted coz it looks the dogs bollox, and there are too many jealous people, as I'm sure u have all experianced.

Just feel like crawling into a hole right now and dying, have spent everything on this car and have nothing left now. and nowhere to turn. Sweet dreams to all genune people out there.

Well, It is with a garage at the moment and we are awaiting the phonecall telling us the damage, at least the guy who we bough it off has agreed to meet some of the costs.

I will try the guy in Haywards Heath, as I need to get my hands on a Lamborghini wheel hub nut (as it flew off on the A1).

Glad you think it looks real - that has cheered me up

this guy originally said he wasnt interested in paying us a penny, only because i threatened legal action against him today has he agreed to meet the costs - because the car was in the garage last week - through their negligence, they never replaced the wheel nut properly and forgot to put something onto the car. when the car stopped, the police confirmed that we were practically minutes from death, another few bends and the wheel would have flown off as it was partially hanging off. You can imagine that I probably wouldnt be here now had that happened.
The point of my last post was to inform people that he has now agreed to meet some of the cost and that I hadn;t been ripped off. The costs so far are in excess of £2,000, which I dont have.
Sorry if you felt I wasted your reading time. Everyone else has been extremely helpful and sympathetic to me.

I WILL have the car up and running by the end of the week so its not all bad!

ok iam lou's husband the guy who got the car, at the end if the day i think she has been incredibly stupid to say that was our life savings( as if) i did'nt check the car over fully however i did take it for a test drive and it went like a beast and seemed in perfect working order, when i got onto the a1 the back wheel started skidding out. and before i knew it the car died on me, it was only when the police tried to push the car out of the road that they realised how close the wheel was to coming off! even they were convinced it was a real lambo it was only when they did a c.r.o check that it came back as a vw that they realised they were not pushing the real thing! anyway as luck goes these things happen the real was not on properly after being fitted with new disc brakes and the wheel doing this caused the drive shaft to give up also. but when you think about it i would still spend 16,000 including repairs to drive this sort of car. everywhere we were towed through london people were running up to it and taking pics and kissing it! i have to hold my hands up and say i did'nt check the car over fully it was dark and i trusted the guy. this can happen to anyone like the garage said it was just down to bad luck. the guy who fitted the wheels has agreed to cough up and accepted it was his fault.
so all in all i have a wicked replica which looks the dogs b**locks. for anyone who did have a go at my wife, have a go at me!!!! iam an average guy on average wages so i cant afford the real thing for me this is as good as it gets until i win the lottery.
she only came on here for some advice for everyone who did help her thanks a million and for all them people who had a go be a real man and stop hiding behind a computer screen, the fact that you can have a go at a woman just shows how weak you are and is the reason why you are probably single. for all the stone throwers you probably aint even got cars and get your kicks by thinking you have, you probably sit in internet cafes all day with £3 in your pocket.

so so sad.

anyway on that note, i guess thats all i have to say, we have got off lightly and we all make mistakes that includes you mr big. instead of hiding behind your cold cup of coffee in your manky internet cafe be a man and accept your a internet warrior, you've probably never even had a real fight in your life. so fcuking sad iam closing this thread now as you have proved to be very immature and a bit of a nonce really.
