Weather's looking ok after a bit of a surprise miserable one today. I apologise in advance as I think I may run with the hood on - feeling a little bit fragile. Proper terminal case of man flu and bugger all sleep since Thursday.

See you all in a few hours for a spot of dogging.

I know it's getting on for time but as I'm coming down the M4 can anyone shed light on a possible RV for the Heathrow detour?

Well that was fun, but had I have known I was in the lead car I might have taken the time to read the bleedin' maps before we took off. I told my poor kid, Sam, that he was responsible for navigation so he was nervous as hell. However, he was more or less faultless in his navigation. Well, until the last half mile!! Well done Gruffy for some good instructions and a great route.

Very good run that. Bit tight in places. That was a milking shed we passed through at one point?
Seemed to anger the locals at one point with them standing in the middle of the road waving their arms.

TomTom saved the day on a couple of occasions.

Well done.

Hey guys and gals, apologies if I held you at at times, still getting used to the car (Red Boxster) and I'm not sure those roads are the best place to get used to RWD!!

I'll post the best bits of the video soon

A few piccies, but they're low resolution because they were taken with my phone (I forgot my camera) and it was also quite dark first thing this morning:

Great turnout guys and girls, especially for a dank and very early Sunday morning!

The idea of groups arranged by different paces went out the window when everybody joined the 'nutter' group (but then what would you expect from people who get up that early to go hooning?). Awesome to see that we pretty much stayed as one 50-strong convoy the whole length of the route. There was a point about 30 minutes in where we all slowed on a really open hill coming into a village - great sight, a train of varied petrolhead metal (and plastic) as far as the eye could see in both directions.

Huge fun in the greasy conditions I thought, but definitely one to do again in the heat of summer when we're guaranteed great conditions and daylight at 5am. That'll definitely be an early one!

Hopefully see most of you on Sunday for the Goodwood Breakfast Club. Don't forget, we're meeting at Guildford Cathedral this time, rather than the old retail park.

Got a headache now. Blinking V8s. Thanks Mr Yellow S3 man for taking care of my rear!

Can't get the image of that mush in his Xmas sweater out in the road trying to slow us all down. I swear I was only a couple of inches from him as he jumped out on us. What a noodle. Do you reckon his bruver lives in Bruntingthorpe?

Nice to see you all
