I'll be going via A272 (god's own road) and Petworth ... however not been before so a bit lost after this point. Looking at their website, Goodwood is a huge place ... what part of it do I head for?

Sorry all, can't make it after all. Had a general anesthetic this morning and have been grounded for 48 hours. Damn.

This is is the route / plan the Cerbs + others are are taking
Ladymead Retail Park for a 7.30am departure(GU1 1AJ) -
A3 turn off around Milford -> A285 through Chiddingfold and down to
Petworth -> A283 out of Petworth down to Goodwood.

Dean - is this a different route to the last convoy down last month? I seem to remember that superb road was the A286 (A283 superb as well though!).

Coming South from Guildford, the decision on whether to take the A283 or A286 is usually dependant on what car I`m following, given they are both off the same roundabout and run parallel with each other - it`s just a case of chosing which rear to enjoy on the way! Hmm, that doesn`t sound like I intended it.... I find the 286 quicker but the 283 prettier and more sinuous - both fabulous - maybe the clincher is the sausage and mash from the pub with tractors outside on the 283 - a must after FOS!!

Craig, I am (in some capacity) responsible for the Cerb gathering and have done the Guildford run a few times and there do seem to be some who go 286 and other 285/283, usually you just get a bit of a split at that roundabout just down from the A3. I have done both as usually just follow the car in front for fear of getting lost - you do get the benefit of making some noise in Petworth off of the stone walls . The Cerbs are also picking up a straggler in Chiddingfold so has to be that way for us although I am sure there will other Guildford cars who do the 286 as well. See you there, should be a good one.

Saw the Cerb forum and congrats on getting a really good grouping together. Impressive, and if you do not mind, I will join you with the Tuscan. Petworth is indeed superb, and I think some of your cerb crew have decatted beasts which should be very interesting indeed! 7.30am it is and the A283. Should be a good one.

LOL, will assess the numbers we achieve tomorrow, Sunday morning and early starts invariably means you are never quite sure how many you might actually get. Indeed should be interesting in Petworth, a good percentage (myself included) are decat and sports pipes so should be loud

By all means join us, heck we are piggy backing on the already established Guildford run so not exactly an exclusive Cerb thing anyway, more the merrier. Just make sure you stick with us heading for Chidd if there is a split off.

See everyone who's coming tomorrow.

Another excellent morning meeting - started off well within the Cerb convoy from Guildford - www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=259986&f=6&h=0&p=7
Really good to see a strong turnout both at the event and then on the roads shortly afterwards (Yellow Enzo, Purple Lambo Diablo, Ariels etc).

Most of the cars on show were immaculate with a wide array of vehicles from modern Radicals, Astons, Light Car Company, Bentleys & Jaguars through to the classic Healeys, Triumphs, Morgans to name a few. A couple of "classic" Tivs sneaked in - one Chim, one T350, but no Sag, Tuscan, Griff, Cerb or Tam appeared to have been allowed in?

A few pics which may be of interest;
