I've booked time off work for the event - but only live 35 miles away so more likely to go in everyday rather than camp....though if the weather is good, and there's good company, camping would be fun instead smile

Whittlebury hall is also a hotel, so if you have a spare £150 per night go for it, if not join the rest of us under canvas and in the bar.......

Thats the only thing thats holding me up - the great British summer! I can get half price tickets up to a certain date but I'm not too keen on sitting in the grandstands for 2 days while it buckets it down.

I'm going Saturday, have applied for "A" centre parking so fingers crossed it's not too late and will be in there!

Was thinking of mooching on down, but it's all Porsche though and not much else by the look of the advertising & marketing.
I think you`ll find that there is much more non-porsche than porsche (although who could object to a shed load of 956/962`s!).

I`m looking forward to the dusk race on Saturday - anyone know where you can find an entry list?

Decided that the weather will be lovely the weekend of the Classic so booked my tickets yesterday through the Corvette Club. I'm assuming the centre parking will be the same as the GT meet with the clubs all parked together.

Entry list should be on the silverstone.com website. There's a Vette racing at 14:40 on Saturday so expect to see me drooling, smiling, taking pictures and drinking a pint all at once.

ETA - camping at Whittlebury.

Camping in Whittlebury Sat night, Rosso Red Griff N52 XKE, could be tempted for a drink in the Scarve and Goggles?

I think it says on the tickets that this is compulsory.

If anyone is heading up from the southeast of Friday morning, the cobs are meeting at Clacket Lane Services M25 clockwise at 10 am, heading round clockwise, picking a few others up on the way and up the M40. Feel free to tag along.

Anybody here going on the Retrorun on Saturday? I'm doing the one that starts at Silverstone golf club.

I thought about it but the lunchtime arrival put me off. That classic bike race first up Saturday morning looks good.
