Thanks & 211mph
Discussion
My 1st V-Max too, really enjoyed the day, thanks Craig and co. Got the little 130i M-Sport to a best of 151 MPH, which isn't too shabby at all for a hatchback I reckon. Good to meet you Neil B (- hope the heat shield hasn't fallen off yet following your grass cutting excursion!), GlenMH -liked the 350Z and your speeds in the afternoon improved dramatically!, and good chatting with you Godzilla - maybe next time I'll get a ride in your Z06 beastie!

Likewise Dave - I had great fun having tussles with you and your good lady; I was over the moon with how mine performed against yours (theres life in the old girl yet)... That heatshield is a pain in the arse, but i'll repair it somehow...
Er, I mean tussles with your car, with you and your good lady driving, not er, the wierd way it sounded!

It's just the best day in Christendom.
Hail to Craig for basic divinity, Rude & Pod for the finest breakscran in Northants, Dave and Paul for the convoy company (Paul for exposure to the simply awesome B7 RS4), My Lord of The West for reacquaintance with inevitability , Plotters for helping co-hatch a strategem for stemming the tide of democracy and the usual suspects on the runway - Danny, Guy, Herr Walker, Neil and a particularly pleasant couple with a Z4M to whom I must apologise for (a)not properly exchanging details and (b) chucking theirways the keys as I'd intended to tempt them to join me in M6dom (next time?) plus all the other quality personnel who as ever, you don't get to meet.
Obviously a few of the regulars were absent; MOD, Markbe, Jeremy C and a certain Ruffian but since Jan F's outrageous interloping I think any hopes of championing the event are disappearing fast.
I particularly enjoyed my time in the 964 Cup car and quoffing all too few fillets du rat.
That fellow from EVo mag who used to have a 355 was there and I wanted to greet him but his planet-cleaving Lingelfussle Vette thingy was too busy humiliating one's B5, damnit!
Superb.

......i had commented on just how far ahead the Ultima was down the main straight & the 9FF really didn't look like it was gunning it, then it posted a speed of 202MPH roof down.....
I was watching them in my mirror all the way down the main drag...they were closing...FAST!!! Could of sworn I saw them sipping coffee and geling their hair to pass the time!!Cheers Simon, twas good to catch up again.
That B5 Alpina is insane in a straight line & aint that shabby round the bottom corner, as it certainyl had the measure of my car during the head to head. So chuffed the M6 cut the mustard & i'm guessing no rev limiter issues as the speeds you got were top drawer.
I've called Audi UK & asked them to send me a new Pre-Production RS6 Saloon in time for the next VMAX that i can send to DMS for fettling & then see what a hopeful 650ish BHP Ubber Barge can manage. I feel the low 190's calling me.

Mind you, got some interesting scrub on the left hand front tyre and I hope no one got the massive tank slapper on video

thanks for a great day, my first V Max and 165 on my very last run!
- ill be showing everyone i know footage of me blastin up the runway next to the F430 (til my wife finally loses patience and deletes it off the camera!)
good to meet fellow monaro owners -only sorry you had to retire and leave a standard (non-supercharged) car to 'fly the flag'! and all the good people we got chatting to but never got their names -130i owners, Z4 M coupe, Porsche Turbo, M6 owners etc...

Unusual event for the 964RS Clubsport, she certainly held her head up with the big muscle boys, was good to have time out from a track day and actually see what she will do flat out, spot on manufacturers figures typical Porsche standard 260BHP and 162MPH will do me. Although my passenger managed something much higher!Hail to Craig for basic divinity, Rude & Pod for the finest breakscran in Northants, Dave and Paul for the convoy company (Paul for exposure to the simply awesome B7 RS4), My Lord of The West for reacquaintance with inevitability , Plotters for helping co-hatch a strategem for stemming the tide of democracy and the usual suspects on the runway - Danny, Guy, Herr Walker, Neil and a particularly pleasant couple with a Z4M to whom I must apologise for (a)not properly exchanging details and (b) chucking theirways the keys as I'd intended to tempt them to join me in M6dom (next time?) plus all the other quality personnel who as ever, you don't get to meet.

Many thanks Craig - first time for us and the boy and I had a great day in the Audi estate. Very much hope to come to the next VMAX and meet some more of you.
Current problem (not that computer literate) is that I can't edit the results table - I get a "not authorised" message - eminently sensible in my case (who knows what damage I might cause in my blunderings?) but inconvenient. Is there a guide to read/exam to pass?
Cheers
Dave

Hi there,
Did not manage to make it along to VMAX as I honestly thought the weather was going to ruin the day.
Anyway I saw this picture on another forum and wondered if anyone could tell me some more about the car
Have not seen a Gallardo Spyder in this colour combo before and don't think the owner is a PHer. Would love to get some pictures of this car anyone know how I can contact the owner.
regards
Tim
