I'll see if we can get some sort of competition at the end for sure, but with 20 guns, I think it may have to be more like 10 or 20 birds, otherwise it'll take too much time.

Did you enquire about us using our own cartridges, or is it more hassle than it's worth?

Clive,
I haven't asked though I'm happy to.
I do suspect it'll be more bother than its worth.
Dan
Then leave it Dan, I can see it will be a problem trying to work out who's brought their own and who hasn't!
Anyway, I only asked the question to bump the thread, 'cos I'm not as brazen as you!

If anyone has someone they know who would like to go then let me know as my guest can't make it any more so I'm in for an extra deposit at present.
If the slot is up for grabs, I'll take it.
[I have delusions of adequacy, so would be in the 'knows what they are doing' category. I will pass on lunch though].

Colin, that would be great as it saves me losing a deposit. We can square up on the day.
Look forward to seeing you there.

No problem - should be fun. Hope the weather doesn't get too distracting...
On the subject of ammo - if there is a chance to express a preference, premium 28g 7.5s with high muzzle velocity would be my ordinance of choice as that is what I normally use. Even if there is a small surcharge...
randlemarcus and Smart Roadster - no problem for lunch, I just spoke to the Fox they seem quite relaxed about the exact numbers.
Re. cartridges, as you might imagine there isn't an enormous choice with Bisley's own-brand cartidges, iirc, they have a low velocity 24g load, a standard 24g load and a standard 28g load (this is all 12s of course) - I think the shot is all 7.5 butI have a box in my bag so will look later. I think the cartidges are actually Eley.
Personally, I'm of the view that if I can hit something with one cartridge I can hit it with pretty much any other, but in order to remove ANY excuses for you lot I shall request the 28g cartridges for the expert group ...
