Could the 15+ people who have booked track time (specified in their post) remove themselves from the top 500.... Only 37 to go and I'm in lol

That is a rubbish forecast, not even light rain frown

Saying that, forecast has just changed to no rain again!

Best track days I've ever done were wet (and I've done some)

Really looking forward to it.
Heavy rain means no brake fade, less tyre wear and more knowledge gained of my new car.
Win win.

Is insurance on the track for ss an essential thing? I've never bothered with it on other td's...

Not for my £3k MR2

I can understand those with expensive cars feeling differently.

You don't really have choice if car is financed, part of the agreement the car is always insured. Otherwise I would probably take the risk.

Is it as simple as giving someone the confirmation email from Silverstone to pass over track time? I have contacted them and waiting for a reply.

I asked yesterday about transferring the track time and they are fine with it provided you update them with the name of the new driver and their car details, passing on the information about it needing to be a safe vehicle and within noise limits.

Could those of us who have booked track time and also in the top 500 on the list just get a confirmation that we should remove ourselves from the list to allow others on?

I think this was sort of (slightly obliquely) answered here:

Jack Mansfield said:
We have confirmed now that the space for the track time does not include the 500 attendees on our list, so we will make room for you in the paddock if you want to book track time, just explain at the gate that you have booked track time and they will direct you to the paddock.

We usually wouldn't, but in this instance where there was technical difficulty on Silverstone's end which caused confusion, we will. So yes, confirmed smile

Thanks! Have removed myself. Any chance of still getting emailed the details or would that be too difficult to process?
