10.10 session, blue mx5. Standby for video later lol
Looking forward to that, was hoping it was on video! He tried desperately to save it, glad there was no contact!

Saw the grey GT86 lose it twice, the 911 turbo and that one all in the same session!

Great morning, thanks to all involved!
That would be me! yeah had absolutely no grip in that session, the 11.20 session went a lot better lol

Enjoyed the white cossie power sliding the first bend - Great to see it being used like that, and only when there were no other cars around too thumbup - even the pit lane marshalls were enjoying it - https://youtu.be/dERUHnioGck (think this was your third go - love my mates comment at the end)

White 507? Brave shout on a wet day in one of those. Ive had a couple of them and wouldn't fancy the C63 today personally...... but you drove it well mate. I was on your session (red Alfa QF taking it easy) but only saw you late in.
Cheers thumbup! She's a pussy cat really, you can manage the power well, as it's so linear. The Michelin PS4S tyres did a great job, altohugh the brakes had cried enough at the end. I was ogling the Alfa, looked fab, I really like those! How was it on track?

I'm also on MPS4S and can confirm they are fantastic. Much better that the OEM PZero Corsas would have been today. The Alfa was great, really easy to handle..... but still gave me a hard time out of brooklands. I moved from a 520bhp PPP and even though they are the same in a straight line (Alfa a fraction quicker) the handling is far superior in the Italian. That's progress for you though. Still can't beat the V8 for sounds.

Really enjoyed it and great to talk to some fellow Porsche owners! (I was in the blue 997).

Gotta say, I really enjoyed the challenge of a wet session. However, the standard of driving ..... AGAIN!!!!!........ didn't match the driving conditions. PH track sessions should be for people enjoying their P&J in a relatively safe environment (hence low numbers and overtake rules), not an opportunity for track hacks and playboys to come along and barge their way around at Mach 1. Also, an intermediate session I don't think should be where you do a pleasure ride in your priceless Porsche turbo, as beautiful as it was.

I was on the 10.10 session. the guy in the white Mégane did exactly as I'd expect of a courteous driver. As did the white escos owner. Fast, but safe and keeping those around him in mind. I hate to be negative about a meet like this but it's not a track day. It's a taster.
Didn't notice anything particularly bad in the 09:00 and 10:10 sessions. A few people were going around sedately but understandable with the conditions in mind. Closest call was the VX220 going down the start finish straight at about 50mph which caused a bit of a queue. Will post the videos of those two sessions soon when they're done uploading.

Hope whoever crashed the BMW is ok. Car didn’t look too healthy.
Happened right in front of me in the Yellow S2000 - wish I had a dashcam! Hope you're ok mate.
I saw you going round, car looked great. When the session was red flagged your partner (I guess) standing on the pitwall was looking worried until you turned up. She also looked bloody cold, did you not warn her that Silverstone is always bloody freezing?

A Caterham on track is super dooper fun when it's dry, really scary and slow in the wet. I could moan about a driver or two but I think they know who they are. Overall a great morning out as always. Cheers guys biggrin

Thanks to PH and Silverstone for putting this on, had a great time!!

Was pleased to be on the 11.55 session as it was a lot drier (still quite damp in places). Fair play to everyone who went out on the early sessions!!

Hope the owner of the E92 M3 is ok?

Without doubt my favourite SS of the year.

Great selection of cars as always! Always nice to see a 205 GTi and great to see the Escort cossie being enjoyed!!

Good morning, always great to see such a variety of cars! Huracan next to a 205 GTi, bright yellow TVR next to a lifted Defender..

Good job to everyone that took to the track too, lots of action, and special thanks to Mission Motorsport, took me out in the red ND MX5 RF, huge fun! The driver (sorry mate I forgot name!) was definitely giving it some, I was thinking to myself you shouldn’t be able to throw a RWD car around wet corners like that laugh

I really need to get myself on track at some point.

Thanks PH for organising it - we realised as we were driving out that I didn’t put the £2 in a bucket or anything, I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to pay, so apologies, I’ll buy a few stickers from the store or something to make up for it!

Cheers all.
Followed the beautiful Lambo in through Silverstone village, did think as we parked up that it was a hilarious pairing! smile

I also totally forgot to drop any money in the charity bucket - I've just donated a fiver (plus gift aid) here!

I was out in the 10:45 session. Admitedly i should have known better knowing it was a novice session. But I wanted to give the car a gentle run out avoiding the super quick guys.

There was some truly shocking driving, general awareness was horrendous in cases, one particular e92 was more interested in his passenger filming on her phone. I know it comes with experience so hope it was just circumstance.

But a great event none the less.

I spoke to the driver of the 964 turbo - He was in the first session (Novice) that was stopped.

Then was put in a session that turned out to intermediate and it was a bit scary... It was also his first drive since rebuilding the engine. Himself - Dyno-ed at 407bhp!

I nearly ended up in the main straight wall in my VX220 during the 9am session some last minute steering and coming off the brakes saved me...
My tyres were useless today. I had so little grip. Felt like I was driving on ice! Terrible.
New tyres on the list of things to buy now.
Was stood right in front of you on the pitwall, nice save! Turned to the guys next to me and said “bet some pop just came out!” They agreed hehe

My first thought when the red lights came on was 'Oh god she's going to panic'

In that case that's just pure bad luck. He really was hugging that right hand edge. Looked a beauty, so much love for those old machines.

That 964 turbo was going considerably quicker than the green buggy thing in the 10:45.

My favourite Sunday Service of the year and it was made even better that I was on track this time.

I thought the standard for the 11:55 group was pretty good, had lots of fun with the greasy conditions.

I enjoyed going around the car park and paddock. Some really nice machinery. What I didn't enjoy was my 'novice trackday experience'.
I am just that, a novice. I was already feeling intimidated when spectating the early novice sessions, seeing some cars going so well that they were obviously very experienced drivers. So much so I considered backing out, but then thought, sod it, I've paid so I'm going out.
As someone previously mentioned, I was under the impression it was to be an event to take my pride and joy out to drive it briskly in safety.
So, to those experienced drivers that I held up by my blue Lexus, I don't apologise, you shouldn't have been out in that session.

Great day, even if a bit. Admire the bravery of some of those out in the early sessions before the track dries up incl. the GT4 with a bit of a wobble down the main straight.

Will get more pics up on my insta www.instagram.com/r33fal
