The shock tactics were at tv2005, when a couple of us turned up to take on your fastest. On that day one of your ranks said how can a 4cylinder Ford be allowed to enter, we beat him by over 30mph.

I give up JUST STOP BRAGGING ROD PLEASE!!!!! We KNOW that you have a quick car. Looks like a 17 year old taxi maybe, but quick, no arguments.

What was tv2005 by the way?

And please don't confuse whoever it was who said the above with one of the V.Max "ranks". We have plenty of 4 pot cars that turn up and have a great day. In fact, the most popular car for passenger rides by far is a certain slightly worn tyred 4-potter belonging to a quiet unassuming chap by the name of Smiffy

Al, you really do have to see the Cossie in action to appreciate what mad rod is saying or coming from.

I have been to a few V Max's and TV2005, and I can tell you that Mad Rod would make a good contribution to VMAX. I saw the cossie run, and it was awesome, actually, there were a few vmaxer at this event

Were you there when then guy turned up with the Sierra on the trailer and blitz everyone to 170, but that was the top it was geared to, everyone loved having a look around that one, or, the Porker that spat flames out the exhuast in a nice green white, red and all shaded of colours on the body. These are true pertrol heads who loved their cars and the cars that were there.

This was the spirt of VMAX in the early day, VMAX1 was mainly Porkers, then VMAX2 I was there and other types of cars turned up, as they do now.

Its a shame the noise police have been enforced at Brunters, it might stop alot of fast cars running there

As much as it's a real shame that the dour-faced NIMBYs have put the mockers on very loud cars running at VMax yesterday was still a great turnout. Definately missed the really loud TVRs and Lambos etc but there was the proof that quock cars don't need to make your ears bleed.

The sense of camaraderie was definately still alive and well and noone seemed, from my humble £8k car position, aloof or snobbish. That's what really makes VMax special IMO.

arrrrgh! I know exactly where he's coming from ... he has an effing fast car and would probably achieve top speed on a V.Max day. There is no part of this that i do not understand or disbelieve, having seen Rod on telly do about 216 in the wet. He does not need to keep telling us!

It's the incinuation that we are a load of egotistical snobs and constantly banging on about how his car is faster than our cars which is getting on peoples' nerves.

Me, I'll probably never have the fastest car at V.Max, I just go to have a spirited trundle down the road and see a load of me mates! ... and get a sun tan
