RE: Prodrive Sunday Service 19/02
Discussion
Thanks PH and Prodrive for another memorable Sunday service, a great start to 2017. As someone lucky enough to have attended more than a few Sunday Services since their inception its very easy to forget that the these events don't grow on trees, they take PH staff time and effort, willing venues and employees at those venues to provide US an interesting and enjoyable morning within the a motoring context, as well as meeting like minded car owners.
The least we can do as responsible PH'ers is to respect the venues neighbours and trust that a further invite to the same location is forthcoming in future years.

Well the powers that be have even mentioned it in their main review article. Let's hope the forthcoming 2017 SS hosts don't see that and cancel the events eh.
"As such it's especially disappointing to be ending on a downer but a few cars leaving the event were driving in a manner not welcome on Sunday Services and in such a way as to put future events in jeopardy. Our hosts go to great lengths to ensure our events are fun, safe and professionally organised, so acting disrespectfully while leaving is absolutely not acceptable.
If that's how you get your kicks you won't be welcome at future Sunday Services, end of story. For all those sensible and well mannered PHers out there we'll look forward to seeing you at the next one at Silverstone."

This was the first Sunday Service I have attended for a good while. Perhaps 4-5yrs, I can't remember exactly.
Walking around outside when I arrived I was struck by how the clientele seems to have changed:
Lots of teenage car anoraks taking photos/ shooting film. Some really excited which is nice to see I suppose.
Quite a few 'innit bruvs' who didn't even know what an Exige V6 was.
Barely any TVR. Think I spotted a solitary Chim, Tuscan and Griff respectively! Maybe the roads were still too slimy.

I've been going to Sunday services regularly for the last few years and noticed that the clientele outside was a bit different to normal. I'd wondered if local had heard the. Not enough powerfully built directors and single dads with adenoids for you? All things considered, I'm quite glad that's not the norm.

Sorry.. head gasket gone so couldn't make it.. hoping to make a few later on this year... with a bit of an upgrade :-)It never ceases to amaze me the massive contrast between the people that actually talk to you at Sunday Services and the forum posters, who's opinions I always read in my head with the Clarkson 'owners club' voice.

Thanks to all for putting this one on, really enjoyed it!
"please do not get carried away and be sensible when arriving and leaving! Failure to do so could severely damage our chances of doing future Sunday Services, and nobody wants that"
Let's hope we're allowed back next year!...

The Golf R's made me chuckle.... "Hey look at me i'm going to launch!". Followed by the most boring, silent, least impressive take off ever. Just dont do it, its not impressive and people are only watching because they want you to crash.
Also the the youtube gimp covering the fish tailing Aston's number plate. Should have shwon it for all the world to see.

Quite.Zooming along the road is one thing however launching on the wrong side of the road and consequently impeding the progress of other motorists is just stupid.
Dissapointing to see.
Then there's the issue for PH - there's enough anti-car sentiment out there, without it being needlessly stoked and the media provided with material to sensationalise.
I don't want, or feel I have the right to be too judgemental of the drivers, or those who filmed and then uploaded the videos, but it's a shame nonetheless that we are where we are.
