I love how yours just turns in and slides predictably! - especially given the angles!

Would have tried but was already soiling myself/on a cool down after my pit lane wall sideways moment the lap before....
Haha thats a great screenshot of mine! Yeah I was meant to be on a cool down...

I did like your spin/ sideways moments. That 540i can shift too!

thumbup It was a tad cold for the 80 mile drive there though. silly

But great fun on empty roads - not an inch on a motorway. cloud9driving

What time was that briefing?
Must've been 8:45? (I think)
8::20 was the first briefing, seemed perfectly adequate and the guys who took were wondering up and down the paddock taking questions afterwards too.
The 9.30 briefing was quite different, for instance after a question the instructor permitted overtaking on corners.

I've cut mine down into highlights, but here's my video. Includes drooling over the (Riveria?) Blue 991 GTS' noise, and laughing at the Saab! So quick on the straights, left me for dead.

Haha brilliant! I was the blue M3 in front of you I hope I didn't ruin your day it was my first trackday ever and I've only had this car for 2 months now. And oh my god that's a lot of body roll! LOL

You are right that SAAB was mental I couldn't believe it!

I didn't make it till about half 10 but was lucky enough to be able to get on the 11:55 track session. From looking at the videos it looks like the track had dried up a bit by the time I went out, though there were still some damp patches so had a few 'moments'! Unfortunately I forgot my action camera - so no onboard footage, doh!

If anyone has any pics/videos of my car (Black Clio 172) on track that would be great!

I was quite nervous about tracking the SAAB at first...but actually turned out to be strangely fun! And i didn't feel to obstructive!

Will definitely be trying a few more track days! (Maybe in a slightly more track worthy car)

Good to meet you and Mr Legohead this morning, thanks for stowing my bag whilst I was on track!

And a massive thanks to PH and Silverstone for today. A fantastic selection of cars both parked up and on track.

I had as much fun as I had lack of grip in the 10:10 track session. Apologies if I held anyone up, I tried to stay out of the way! My red Westfield was sliding every time I went near the throttle (that's the last time i use Federal RSRs in the wet!) so I was tiptoeing around a bit. Still spent most of the time going sideways hehe

Mine was the blue V6 MR2 on it's maiden voyage - if anyone has any pics.
No pics, but I heard you going round. Sounded fantastic - which engine do you have in there?
Good to catch again today Ben - I think you guys did a good job on a slippery track, it was much more driveable later when we were on it.

BenWRXSEi said:
For those wondering how slippy the first session was, I've managed to get some footage YouTubed:

You're making this look easy. that looks really slippery..

I also was pleased to hear the blue v6 - 3vz ??

FWIW V8RX7 - we were watching you on the pitwall and timed you at ~1.20/lap - sounding lovely. Not bad for a taxi engine in a shopping toyota smile

Great meet today (good start to my b'day). Loved meeting the couple with the lovely Defender with the great seats that they were taking on the track. Just the right sort of bonkers!
