Had a great time. I was also on the session till my car unfortunalty decided it didn't need its driver side front light and threw it out lol
Ah, that will be you that stopped after Copse and brought out the red flags...

It will also explain why, faced with that recovery vehicle, you got out, fixed it, drove off smile

I attended my first PH Sunday service today. Was booked in for the 9:35 session but that got cut short. Ended up going out in the 11:20 session.

What an experience! Never driven silverstone in my life. I’m a regular at castle Combe so this was a massive step into the unknown. Also the damp conditions took some getting used to. Was like driving on ice in places and I was so scared of washing out and side swiping someone. ??

I think I ended up being a rolling road block at times, so apologies! Kind of managed to link a few corners together on the end ??

Will definitely come again. Was a great atmosphere and the selection of cars was amazing.

Thanks to PistonHeads for organising. ????
That was a well driven, rapid, Nova, especially since it was your first visit.

Caught me and my friend in the CSL tailed M3 (silver) and the dark blue BMW 330i Touring at around 19.40. Surprised how much i could hold considering my front PS4's were nigh on finished and chronic understeer!

Thanks to PH for another cracking morning, hopefully those buckets were nice and full.

My pics, apologies for the catch fencing, I didn’t venture very far. Here’s a small selection….

By far and away the best entry to Copse I’ve seen in a long while… (there’s a whole series in the gallery… https://flic.kr/s/aHsmuEirF7 )

If you use them, please credit, I’m @adamlstr on most platforms. It seems if you were a. An Escort Cosworth, b. A Guilia, or c. Sam R you got lots of shots.

Gotta say, I really enjoyed the challenge of a wet session. However, the standard of driving ..... AGAIN!!!!!........ didn't match the driving conditions. PH track sessions should be for people enjoying their P&J in a relatively safe environment (hence low numbers and overtake rules), not an opportunity for track hacks and playboys to come along and barge their way around at Mach 1. Also, an intermediate session I don't think should be where you do a pleasure ride in your priceless Porsche turbo, as beautiful as it was.

I was on the 10.10 session. the guy in the white Mégane did exactly as I'd expect of a courteous driver. As did the white escos owner. Fast, but safe and keeping those around him in mind. I hate to be negative about a meet like this but it's not a track day. It's a taster.
Didn't notice anything particularly bad in the 09:00 and 10:10 sessions. A few people were going around sedately but understandable with the conditions in mind. Closest call was the VX220 going down the start finish straight at about 50mph which caused a bit of a queue. Will post the videos of those two sessions soon when they're done uploading.
The VX220 going slow down the straight was me recovering after spinning and nearly hitting the wall. Apologies but stalled on the spin as well as ruining my pants.
Agree 100% - I go to a taster session. Then find myself being overtaken by Track Megan’s mid corner on a mission. I hold my line on the corners ready to move over in the straights - all good as the brief instructed.
But then get hauled into Race control because said tts have kicked off at the Race Director.

After a patronising ‘chat’ with him telling me how to use my mirrors I just walk out.....
I’ve done Nring 6 times (5 days each time) so I’m not a novice with no issues at all. First time at Silverstone - put me off tracks days there for sure.
Well done Silverstone - you’ve put this guy off your sessions. Obviously ‘taster session’ in the Silverstone dictionary means you need to be fekin Lewis Hamilton.......

Excellent morning at Silverstone, didn’t book track time but looked like fun out there. Thanks to PH for organising this again and special thanks to Mission Motorsport for the passenger ride for my mate, he had never been out on track so the ride in the race car was an eye opener.

Any pics or video from the 11.20 session please?

Some great cars there today. It’s not often you see a Renault 5 turbo 2 and get to follow behind as you leave.

Noble was awesome and Sam’s E46 M3 is one of best I’ve seen.

I think I definitely fall into the “got quite close in the corners” category in the 9am session, so apologies if I annoyed anyone.

There was an E46 Beemer backwards into a hedge off the A43 near the M40 junction at 9am. The driver looked OK, but both he and the car were still there at 11 when I was leaving. I hope it wasn’t too serious if anyone on here.
Saw that too, did well to get it in the hedge from the road there, hopefully not much more than dented pride.

Good SS as usual, went out with Owen in the red 2019 MX5 made me want to take mine out at a future one, hopefully on a dry track though.

Forgot to mention a red E46 M3 that got very sideways a couple of cars ahead of us, thought he was going to lose but managed to catch it, nice effort!

I enjoyed going around the car park and paddock. Some really nice machinery. What I didn't enjoy was my 'novice trackday experience'.
I am just that, a novice. I was already feeling intimidated when spectating the early novice sessions, seeing some cars going so well that they were obviously very experienced drivers. So much so I considered backing out, but then thought, sod it, I've paid so I'm going out.
As someone previously mentioned, I was under the impression it was to be an event to take my pride and joy out to drive it briskly in safety.
So, to those experienced drivers that I held up by my blue Lexus, I don't apologise, you shouldn't have been out in that session.
Sounds and looks lovely that lexus. Think I followed you in this morning in my gt86

I was in the other Noble with you in the 11:20 session.
I've got onboard Gopro footage, but not reviewed it yet, but will post something tomorrow perhaps.

Was going well too especially for a first visit!

I assume that was you in the Vantage AMR then?

I'm glad race control spoke to you after your complete lack of awareness. At one point you must have had around 20 cars stacked behind you and yet you still refused to move over and let cars past.

I don't agree with what some drivers were doing to try and get past you, but after several laps of your piss taking people were obviously fed up.

Just a few general snaps of the paddock, pits, a handful from around 11am (I don't know the actual session start time), and a load from the 11:55 session.

Gewy and I both said "red top" - looked great on track (little bias us both being Opel Fruits)
