Mine was the blue V6 MR2 on it's maiden voyage - if anyone has any pics.
No pics, but I heard you going round. Sounded fantastic - which engine do you have in there?
Good to catch again today Ben - I think you guys did a good job on a slippery track, it was much more driveable later when we were on it.

I also was pleased to hear the blue v6 - 3vz ??

FWIW V8RX7 - we were watching you on the pitwall and timed you at ~1.20/lap - sounding lovely. Not bad for a taxi engine in a shopping toyota smile
Thanks - yes it's the Camry 3VZ-FE approx 180bhp in the Camry, the previous owner had headwork etc so should be circa 240 now but I think it needs a tune up.

I thought it sounded great on the hour trip up there and the 30 mins on the track but for the hour home I fitted ear plugs !

I stumbled onto it on Ebay and couldn't resist.

Excellent day as usual. Frostbite and forgetting to charge my battery means limited pics.

But great fun on empty roads - not an inch on a motorway. cloud9driving
Yep, always super to see true classics smile

Top job, thanks for bringing it along!

I did see a pretty official looking photographer walking around with a Silverstone Media Tabard on. Does anyone know if there are photos to come from that?

Thanks to all for this morning.

Next time turn the thermostat up a bit thank you please.

And thanks to the nice lady on the pitwall who offered me a plaster for my finger.
You're very welcome. Well us Fiat owners have to stick together! wink Nice to put a face to the name/car Mr Barchetta.

Last minute passenger only realised they had lost a lens of sunglasses once we stopped, as they couldn't see anything from streaming eyes lol.

I thought full face lids with visors were mandatory for open top cars on trackdays?

For those wondering how slippy the first session was, I've managed to get some footage YouTubed:

I was in the first session too, seeing it from your Westy makes it evident just how wet it was!
I felt pretty warm and comfortable in my super-barge, probably why I spun 3 times biggrin

It was great driving Ben.. the video really does bring out the surface water situ, which is hard to gauge from the pit wall. Bring on the next one!

Apologies for the average editing and terrible audio. Watching it back only shows how slowly I was having to go around most of the turns, but there's still plenty of sideways moments - 0:55, 1:21, 3:11, 5:35, 7:12 (past the pit wall!), 8:30, 9:50....... yeah, it was pretty slippery hehe

Kudos to my passenger who didn't ask to go in after over-steering in 4th gear past the pit wall eek

Hi everyone. I stayed behind for the mr2oc track session and I was a bit unluckly and had a blowout on the m25 on my way home, so ended up getting home quite late. I'm working on my photos now and have to say some of them are very good but unfortunately I don't think I will be finishing them tonight due to being knackered and having work in the morning. They will definitely be up tomorrow evening latest and I'll post back with the links and some samples. No track photos as the car park kept me pretty busy.

Here's two quick samples for now...

Thank you to everyone who came, there's always such a great mix of cars. And good to put some names to faces finally!
