PH25 Anniversary Party - Bicester Heritage 12th August
Discussion
Great day, just a shame the rain couldn't leave us alone, but hey that seems to be the norm for 2023!!
Reading some of the negative comments on here, as others have said, have people not been out their house for a couple of years? The prices etc. are the norm these days and these events have set-up costs associated that have to be covered. Food and drink at any event (not just car ones) are the same and you just have to factor that into the day unless you want to lug a hamper around. In terms of constructive comments about improvements for next time, yes there probably could have been a few more display cars in the "Technical Site" and they probably could have been laid out to make better use of the space available, but let's not forget this was the first time PH has had an event at Bicester so i'm sure plenty of lessons learned will be incorporated and will improve at future events. I personally had a great time and was a pleasure to talk with many throughout the day.
A couple of pics from me
After joining the forums in 2006 and having a feature on my LC way back in 2011, it was nice to have been selected to have the car on display at the event.
At the end of the day I also teamed up with member LankyMcTally and his gorgeous E39 M5 for some green Super Saloon pics

Thoroughly enjoyed my few hours there with my 16 year old son who had never seen some of the cars before.
Highlights for me were the two 959's and in the carpark the Alfa SZ and green gtv6. If you are the owner of the gtv6 I would love to know more about it.
It did make me smile when I realised that my E86 Z4 Coupe was one of the rarer cars there being outnumbered by so many supercars.
I thought the ticket price was spot on and the food you either buy it or don't, it was certainly comparable with other events that I have been to although I thought the service was pretty slow at a few of them.
Would I go back? Yes.

I didn't see a single other 4 Series Gran Coupe so perhaps mine was one of the rarer cars! Highlights for me were the two 959's and in the carpark the Alfa SZ and green gtv6. If you are the owner of the gtv6 I would love to know more about it.

Some of the moaning on here is hilarious.
Don't like the food prices which were pretty much in line with every event these days? Bring a packed lunch.
Don't like the drink prices? Bring a bottle of water/flask of tea.
People even complaining about the ticket price 20 quid for an all day event. I don't understand what people expect to pay, 5 pounds?
As for the selection of cars on display, maybe PH wanted more cars but people didn't want to commit to having to stay all day. I actually thought the exclusivity and variation of cars that made the cut for display was great.
Fantastic event, thanks PH.
Well said. I'd echo all those points.Don't like the food prices which were pretty much in line with every event these days? Bring a packed lunch.

Got to say thoroughly enjoyed it, for a first attempt it was really good. Great to meet up with people. We left about 2 ish and then headed to Caffeine and Machine for lunch so was a nice moochey car day. First time i had ever seen any i20N's at an event although they werestill at a ratio of about 20 :1 compared to the sea of Yaris GR's
I do have a few questions.
Firstly and most importantly, was the boxster roof broken the one parked near the big screen as it was left mid cycle all day, even in the rain, so can only assume it was broken?????
secondly
Can it be an Annual event, location is spot on, plenty of space, bar the odd one there were no poppy bang bang knobs, on the whole a more mature crowd so it was great. good selection of cars. But i think if you did one every year it would be a great focal point .
I personally would made more of the Elises and TVR's present. Going back to its roots of PH the TVR was the biggy so would have been great to see a large group of all the TVR's together. Same for the Elise seeing as it was the winner. There were oodles of both in the car park.
Also a for sale section, as that was kind of what PH became famous for . And i would love to have seen a Shed section.
Like others i was surprised not to see a T shirt and maybe a sticker. Saw plenty of the Yoof Tubers there........ Please tell me someone saw something i was never aware of before........Mr WIG..........and his chariot in the car park, up an coming i suppose, not sure what that was about.
lastly like others have said, a bit of blurb on the car and user name of the owner. would have been a nice touch.
I would gladly come again , so thanks for organising. To those moaning, have a word with yourself. organising these events is hard work, insurance is a nightmare and ensuring you have all those people things you need now when you arrange a gathering.
