Chris - just a suggestion - some of us are on countryside internet speeds, it would be helpful if you could you either upload smaller thumbnails or batch them into track sessions because after 10 mins I'm still waiting to see them.
Same for someone with 40mb speeds, on an iPad it grinds to a halt after a couple of pages of images. Easiest way is to click on image of any car and then use the small thumbnails to right to find your motor.

Haven't attended a Sunday Service in a good few months since the one at Santa Pod (back when I was in the Z435i and took it down the strip!). Was another great SS and am looking forward to the next one at Silverstone so I can take to the track smile

Here's the pictures I took from the day https://flic.kr/s/aHskFPp2Mq

Haha yet just a little! smile

Unfortunately no, I don't have a Tele lense and I don't think a 10-18 does very well getting people on track! Quite a few people whom I wanted to get photos for but didn't frown

Don't hold it against me!
You didn't fancy hanging off the pitwall at 18mm? Lol

Have I missed you post a link to your pics mate?

Hi everyone, this is my first PH post, Sunday was my first PH event, and was also my first track experience!

I had a great time tanking about in my old Rover P6, and she held up well, temps were all good the entire time, no fluids lost etc, and just had a couple of corners with some serious brake fade towards the end. Hope i didn't hold up anyone too badly!

Was great to talk to a few of you around the paddock, some lovely cars on display, will definitely be back. Maybe with some work to stiffen up the front end a tad and reduce some of its boat like tendencies!

Thanks for organising a great event.

PM me and let me know what car you were i and I can get them sorted for you to view.

1000 pictures all uploaded at a decent enough res to print and buy from. Its hard to find the balance!

Splitting in to sessions next time I think! thumbup

It was great to follow you out on track! You can see the body roll and a fairly impressive straight line speed on the video I posted a few pages back.

Are all of the photos you took on the website? I haven't managed to find a single photo or video from the 14:10 session yet frown I know most people had gone home but there were at least a few people left taking photos

I was in the same session. Well impressed with how fast you managed to get the rover going. I didn't think those old v8s made that much power but you definitely seemed to be going at a fair rate of knots!

Some true commitment show by the driver of the silver 530i e39 touring at the end of the pit straight corner!! Some comedy body roll and judging by the condition of his tyres parked up afterwards, it had a good work out!!

F type jag sounded awesome from the pit wall, as did the red Monaro and dark blue e39 M5 on the earlier sessions.

Think my R32 won the award for the dirtiest car in the car park.

Probably not. I found a screw in one of my rear tyres the night before (second time this has happened before a SS this year) and ended up bringing the family bus. I did manage to park it out of the way a bit though.

Glad you enjoyed it. I'm surprised I passed the noise limit in truth.

If anyone has any pics or video of my car on track (red monaro in 9:35 session) please post them up. I'd be keen to hear how.it sounds from the outside.

This! Was brilliant to follow, great to see out on track.

docter fox, if you didn't get my message (the weird message/email system on this forum always messes up for me) then have a lookout for any pictures of the red GT86, would be much appreciated chap!

I'm just trying to find more of my video that isn't rubbish. I mounted my gopro to my helmet (stop sniggering) like last time, but I think I had it pointed to far down/wonky and I got more shots of my interior or the bright sunlight than anything else!

I've never been a fan of Silverstone because it's so flat and featureless but this was the first time I've driven it - I loved having all the run off space which meant I had a bit more confidence to push.
I've heard a number of people criticise Silverstone, but I love driving it. Maybe not the National circuit, but the full GP circuit is great. It's fast enough to let powerful cars stretch their legs, long straights so passing is safe on trackdays, and corners that encourage you to push, with the safety net of F1 sized runoff area.
It may not be ideal for spectating, but if you get a chance to drive the full circuit, give it a go.

I had a great time yesterday on track (Black 911 Cab), the car was handling great and the track conditions were good too.

The 9am session was intermediate though and although the driving standards looked generally good, having read some of the comments about the 9am session I think some people should have opted for the beginners sessions, particularly if you're going to be scared/peeved by cars overtaking you when you havent politely indicated and moved to the right.

Intermediate is exactly that and attracts a mix of skills and car performance, but all should have "intermediate" track skills, observation and experience. Sure everyone should follow the guidelines, but this is the real world. How many times have you ridden dodgems and bumped someone even thought the sign clearly says "no bumping"!

Personally I overtook only on the left and only when safe or invited to do so, but you can't be phased out by someone overtaking you in a wide corner in a faster car when you're at a track day in the inters session or really should you be there?
If i am not mistaken, you are friends with the silver turbo cab driver ?

if he hadn't undertook me IMMEDIATELY after the pace car pulled in, I might buy your comments, but given the fellow cars similar views on here ... I am afraid you, and he just has to accept his driving was not in keeping with any track day, novice, intermediate or experienced
You clearly haven't been to many track days and that's fine, but equally it doesn't make you very qualified to comment on the standard of driving across track days in general. Yes silver turbo was in my group of friends there on Sunday. I didn't comment on his driving, nor any of the other half dozen cars moaned about on this thread, just made my own observations if you re-read my comments.

You just sound like your vexed at getting over taken so quickly, it happens, move on. Race control are very hot on dangerous driving at Silverstone and had anyone stepped out of line they would have seen it and taken action.

The driving standards of the 10:10 session were well below that of a typical track day. The chap in the blue Subaru was by far the worst - absolutely crawling round the corners and then mashing the throttle up the straights. Completely selfish and it makes the other drivers following so frustrated that they end up going for a dangerous overtake.
I thought they were ok.
White gt4 was a bit of a knob.
There was a grey e46 m3 going a bit HAM but to be expected on intermediate day. Aside from that was good i thought!
I think the blue Subaru was driven by a girl who was on her first track day...

Sorry it took a bit longer than expected as I was having trouble emailing anything as they're about 10mb each. I was experimenting with a few camera settings and it didn't always work so apologies that some of them aren't very good! These are the ones I've pulled out for people so far...

GT86 - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKx6SuG
Noble - https://flic.kr/s/aHskMktzQM
Silver VX220 - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKc8LC9
TTRS - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKf6f2V
Yellow Ginetta - https://flic.kr/s/aHskKca6s1

If anyone else was in the 11:55 session then I've probably got a photo or 2 of you on track from the 1050 I took. Let me know which car you were in and I'll create an album you can download them from.

I've got about half a lap of following your Monaro, however with my roof off, all you can hear is wind noise and some engine noise in the slower corners, I do remember it sounding amazing though! It's rare I can hear other's engine noise with my engine right behind my head but I definitely heard that rumble!
