Hi,

I just signed up to this forum tonight, and would love to come along to this meet in my car, just to see some of those cars on the list!!

Alex
Hi Alex.. I read your post above and took it to mean you would like to come but were yet to confirm... possibly as you did not actually ask to be put on the reserve list?

Come along by all means but you will probably have to park outside or nearby the main car park...

Hi,

New to Pistonheads (other than the classifieds!) - and would love to come along on Sunday... Is there a 'click here to join the reserves list' button that I missed, or can I just ask by typing this!!??

I reckon you've missed the boat. Now you'll have to turn up at 7.31am with a Volvo, a Labrador and a set of green Hunter wellies and try to blag your way in assuring the park staff that you have no interest in cars, although a National Trust sticker normally does the trick.

It looks like its going to be slightly busy!

surely loads of cars will turn up and just park on the surrounding area anyway,is it vital to be in that car park for ones that havent got a space?

Mike, as a personal favour to you I'd be happy to take your car for you? Obviously I'd be gutted at leaving the RS6 at home, but life needs the odd sacrifice... biggrin

I have a modified Volvo - would that fool 'em at the gate (can't do the dog or wellies though)? Parking at the Blacknest car park and walking around looks like the best option (you need exact change at the gate by the way). Don't know what time it opens at but as it's automatic I'd guess the same as the main car parks?

Shame, I was looking forward to meeting you - and seeing the cars.

Next time, perhaps.

Given that its a public car park, I'm struggling to see how people can be refused entry for 'not being on a list' tbh? Will people with nice cars get turned away even if they are there for a nice morning walk, whereas knackered old heaps get in under the radar even if there for the PH meet?

I'm also looking forward to seeing how Sunday turns out. It could be very interesting... wink

Ultimately it will be up to the Car Park Marshalls to sort it out, they have been duly warned and in the past have been great, so none of this will be new to them.

For those that have not been following the thread,

The car park marshalls will not be using a check list, they will simply be monitering numbers and IF it gets horrendous only then will they start to restrict access..
