Love the way the M6 Beemer dwarfs the G4.

On board for a quarter of an hour if you can stand it.

Lol! Cheers. I forgot to change the exposure setting of the camera. The gloves are definitely not a fashion statement, and I know they aren't pretty biggrin, but necessary as things can get slippy when one's hands get a little sweaty. Racing gloves would probably be better but I'll wait till mine wear out.

I beg to differ. My 968 (the black one) isn't anywhere to be seen in this whole thread. Not even in the background in photos of interesting stuff. frown

Terrific event though, well done to Paul and co. I thought the Ice Station Zebra conditions just added to the fun. It's marked the start of the year; first Goodwood brekkie is in a couple of weeks then we're off and running.

Enjoyed those, especially the onboard clip cool

Lovely Ginetta you have there cloud9
thank you, i didnt want to push the car too hard, only passed its MOT the day before. It easily kept up with more powerful modern stuff, even the westfield xtr, but guess he wasnt trying very hard. I notice the M3 in the vid posted was doing around 1:12, and i did around 1:15 or so, think i can improve on that. the car only has around 130HP, original 1963 1500 cc precrossflow ford engine. Great to see such a diversity of cars and people

Great pics and video! You got some great video of my Camaro, alont with my mates mustang, and the silver westfield at the end, thank you for that. Your little G4 corners like a son of a bh.

Whoa, careful y2blade... nearly got my MINI JCW in (red roof). I did arrive a bit late. Surprised by how many leave so early. I came mostly to see Shadi's 1963 Ginetta G4 (missed the other G4 hardtop DARE, that'd left before I'd walked round). Some wonderful cars though. I stayed the afternoon mainly because the Aston Martin ('green' colour that is) Ginetta was going out on track at quarter to three.

Never seen so many Nobles, the only thing I saw more of was potholes on the A43 - for a fast busy road it's condition is beyond reproach, bloody appalling and I thought Oxfordshire had poor roads. Whoever's responsible should hang their heads in bloody shame.

Anyway, here's a handful of my snaps, unashamedly mostly Ginetta. And as nobody seems to have videod the track session in the afternoon that I can see, here's some of the G4 lining up against the mighty batmobile like Camaro SS, and the M6 among others. Finally onboard the G4 if you really want to see how the tiny car goes. Got its MOT only Saturday morning.

A tad more of my little jet in the background. No, not the one in the sky, the red roof JCW.

oops, got my JCW in again! Well, nobody else wanted to snap it.

Not repetition, this was a reflective shot (reg in both big cars).

one Noble leaves, then there were three...

The Dark Knight?

Mustang Sally

My favourite of course. Wanna see how it goes? Watch the vids.

I was tempted when a slot was offered on here but thought the S4 (Non-Resonated Milltek) would be too noisy, I needn't have worried as there were a lot of much noisier cars on track..I was a bit miffed tbh, seems the 98db (iirc) noise limit wasn't being enforced at all frown
It was, one of the chaps I was with got booted off twice in his Scuderia....

So would the BMW driver kindly step forward and let us know why you were displeased with the Fiat driver?
Fiat driver is asleep and has overtaken on the right shoot
BMW was going great around copse from where I was standing. Fiat has so much grunt in a straight line. Shame he couldn't steer it around the bends.
You do realize these "Track Taster" days are aimed at first timers and novices don't you?
If "Mr fast BMW" was getting the arse he should have booked a proper track day and gone out with the fast group.
http://www.silverstone.co.uk/Global/pdf/Track%20Days/2012_Terms_Conditions_driver_information.pdf

These are the rules - see "General" section on page three. The Fiat was overtaking on the left, which is a no no.

The rules are there to keep all safe and make sure all are having fun so stop having a go at the guy who was sticking to those very specific regulations.

He/You are supposed to only overtake on the LEFT!

Overtaking:
1. Use your mirrors regularly but only on the straights. Do not spend the whole lap
looking in your mirrors
2. Overtake only on the left hand side
3. Overtake only on the straights
4. Do not overtake in the corners or final part of the braking areas
5. If you are being caught by faster traffic move over to the right and let the vehicle/s
pass on the left.
6. Slower drivers MUST never move off line in a corner. Remember no overtaking is
to happen in the corners hence moving off line will compromise both yourself and
the following cars. Wait until the exit and then move over.
7. Slower drivers please do not hinder faster cars and put your foot down on the
straights and this can lead to frustration and the potential for accidents is increased

My first SS and really enjoyed it. Thanks for organising it guys!

Lowlight - My little boy throwing up just as we arrive to park up and then spending the first 20 minutes cleaning him and the car up. Not a great start!

Highlight - Following the Big Lambo out and overtaking near Towcester. I overtook a lambo! Granted, he was doing 65 and I was doing 70 (obviously!).

Some great cars there
