Hi Gavin
I am still on tenterhooks whether car will be ready in time. Took the Rover to a meet last weekend, which was a bit embarrassing - especially as the clutch gave up on the way home!
Will keep you and Don posted.

The wait must be killing you, I'm really looking forward to getting a good look round this when it finally arrives. I've only ever read the reports, saying what an amazing car this is supposed to be. Have you seen 911 and Porsche World, 964RS, 71st of 100 favourite. Beaten by among others 924S, Std Carrera, 911SC cab????????? None of which I'd say no too, but come on.
Hope you get it by then.
Gavin
Oooh, bugger, it's going to be Tuesday that I finally collect it... although I can view on Sunday (it just won't be MoT'd). That's sod's law unfortunately. My apologies to Don and Gavin, but it will defo be appearing at PH meets soon. After all the wait I'll have to show it off, won't I
Re coming 71st, that is a load of toss really, as Evo did a test of the greatest 911s ever, and it came in the top 3, beating a GT2 and 996TT. They were looking at it from a development and marque point of view.

Dom, I've got a spare seat (in the front too) if you want a ride down. I'll be going in convoy with Gavin from Maidenhead.
Right everyone. I won't be in the office tomorrow so this is one of the last communications I'll make before seeing you all in the car park of Worting House at the appointed hour.

If you wanted to stick a sheet of paper in your car to let the fete-goers know what it is then you could do something like...

I've prepared a similar sheet too, also with the PH logo across the top. I also put a couple of pics on it too showing the interior (in case it's raining or the doors are shut, etc.)
Same sort of info, though, except it had a 0-150 time, too

Adamb - very kind offer... how could I refuse? I'll get to meet a few more PHers in any case, and can navigate for you if necessary.
I'll send you an email off board.
Cheers
Domster
Mail gateway is shagged at the mo, if you don't here from me by midday tomorrow, I'll change my mail to my home address and we can try again.
Won't be around today, chaps. But I'll try to check here sometime this evening. See you all on Saturday morning. All the details you need are at

Just thought I'd post with a couple of points which occur to me, as obvious as they may be:
- The chosen route involves some decent straights which provide good opportunity to "explore the envelope of the vehicle's performance". However, remember the van we encountered last time, and there is no shortage of places to park it along the route. The van has been seen many times since around Basingstoke, so it's not gone away. Be aware!
- Inevitably, the route involves some right turns and give-ways, so there's every chance we'll get split up to a greater or lesser extent. So, make sure you've either read up or know the route beforehand or have a navigator who can actually follow a route! You may end up leading the rest, so be prepared
See you all tomorrow morning. Hope the weather's as good as it is today, but the chap on the bbc this morning didn't sound too keen. Mind you, what do they know?

Bloody hell ! About the furthest journey and the first post ! Wow
Well, the sun shone, the cars made a lot of noise and we all giggled like kids (particularly when Guy and Paul started their Ultimas)
Great day, nice to meet CarZee, Don, JonRB and their rspective partners (CarZee - next time you give a kid 50p for a "Smash the Crockery" session and have him humiliate us, well......!!)
Spirited drive as well, which was great, especially being sandwiched between the Ultimas - what a noise.
Thanks to Don and Whatever and SimonT for top organisation, and a fun time had by me and Emma.

What a fab day out! Once again the North Hants (and further afield!) PHers came out in force!
Thanks to everyone who turned up today for not making Don, SimonT and me look like a trio of idiots, thanks to the sun for appearing for 90% of the day and thanks to Simon for suggesting attending the fete (where everyone seemed very interested in the cars). Well done to Don, too, for his superb oranisational skills (not to mention car park marshalling).
Looking forward to the next one -- pie at the beach?

Thanks to Don, Simon and Whatever (Sorry I don't know your real name)for organising another great day! Did you pre-book the weather!!!
Rob (Rodders) and I had a great day although he would have enjoyed it alot more if he had his cerbie backfrom the garage. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing you all soon.

Ann. Can I first apologise for saying "Gentlemen, Start Your Engines"....without immediately coming out with "Ladies, Fire 'Em Up".......
Very nice to see you....and I'm sure the fete-goers will have enjoyed seeing such a classic..
Looking forward to seeing the Cerbie back in action shortly!
