If Leon brings an RT12, you might as well forget it - the challenge will be to see if anyone can replicate Guy's original 200 busting feat and/or which is the second fastest chariot.

The only way from that, is via Veyron.

shoot i disagree, i think mark has a good chance against the RT12 .....if he drives around the other way to the finish line (oh no, i forgot there are a few gentle corners that way, i.e merc sl plus turns = no joy )

that said, mark must have a lot of experience with driving sl's, since the late 1930's isn't it mark? laugh maybe he knows a few things that we don't... such as how to drive an aquamarine sl and not be mistaken for a hairdresser biglaugh...or is he ?

beer Mark (sorry for poking fun, only there is nobody else who deserves it as much)

Having seen Polarebert's video elsewhere, the CGT driver was saving the clutch and preventing the car from stalling by gingerly leaving the line. In the race to the first right hander, would that be the reason Leon destroyed him perhaps?

Steve going on past runs there is no difference in top speed if you try your hardest to nail it round the bottom bend or have a standing start from the start of the straight.

IIRC Adam and Guy went head to head at the end of the day about 3 VMAXes ago by both lining up at the start of the straight for a standing start and Guy won with about 197.

The corner would therefore just appear to be there for fun

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the RT12 will do at VMax. It will certainly have the power and will be epic in acceleration.

Hi Davey, I agree entirely, I've passengered with Phatgixer and he proved the theory, posting identical 186's. I think you misinterpreted my post. What I opined was that clearly both cars were having it[i/] off the line and Leon's car apears to have the edge in accelerative terms, to the first right hander at least. It can't be seen from the video clip who went through the timing beams first, I suspect Leon but I don't know for sure.

For sure, the corners are there for fun.

All the best.

Why thank you young Leons,as always you youngsters underestimate; experience, ablility and knowledge.
I look forward to our picture on this V-Max forum to decide which of us looks more like a hairdresser..rofl
Driving the SL with so much power and so little cornering ability should only be attempted by experts such as myself,I doubt 'Shoemaker' would do any better.
You young boys stick to your 'cornering on rails porkers'hehe
Now in 'The Palace' I have some special rooms I havent looked into yet,so while your learning how to deal with 700bhp lurrid wheel spin, I shall altering my power output into the 190mph plus range.
Remember it might be horisontal rain at the next V-Max.hehe

Mark.

horisontal ? rain would be fun...just don't forget to close your roof as it might get a little wet in the palace (and I'm not referring to sweating my new car) beer
