Great day, usual thanks to the usual superstars, Craig, obviously without whom it would not exist, RudeG & Das Podster for generosity above and beyond the call viz a vis porquine sustenance and my old mucker Gregorian 'Isaac Asimov' Thomassino, dreadful little man in person but custodian of the finest mobile frigo in Christendom.
Luca, for a blast in the old Tuscan; I tell you what, chief, that car reaffirms yon faith in the old British formula for grand routiering: f@cking great engine up front making the most sublime racket (Brahm's third, I believe) and a genuine turn of speed and deftness of handling way beyond my expectations. Coupled with TVR's sublime design in general, the still fabulous interior and it's no surprise I'm still a sucker for the marque. (I also enjoyed RG and Pod's all-too static, twin Chimp/Griff display ans also the gorgeous T350T which I foolishly forgot to steal.)
MOD, your car is now the most sorted 993tt (with 4wd ) and like Beckham's captaincy, I now concede the armband of perpetual, air cooled tuning to your custody. Apologies for the impromptu moment of Nureyev...
Finally, to Daz and Rods, it's taken me a long, expensive time but I think you've finally done it. Staggring, staggering motors. Cheers fellas, your generosity of key chuckage was and remains hugely appreciated.

Thanks Craig, great day out even tho i only arrived at lunchtime. Thanks also to Steve for giving me a passenger ride while he put his new rear tyres through a 720degree spin 'heat cycle' round the bottom bend. Mental...
Er, I think it was 'only' 360 degrees With the benefit of hindsite, taking a passenger out on my first run round bottom bend on brand new rubber probably wasn't the best demonstration of the NSX's abilities It wanted to oversteer on turn in, mid corner, and exit....
What a great day. Thanks to Craig for the usual super slick running and safe* conditions.
Am happy with the Banana's performance after the mods, it has been a long haul though worth it in the end.
Hope people enjoyed rides in it, and feeling the overboost in action.
My splitter issues were a pain the arse. Thanks to all who helped patch it up ..... I got some funny looks driving home on the M1 with various tie wraps and gaffer tape holding the thing together.
Thanks also to RG and Podie for breakfast.
Till the next one
Martyn.
* unless the Earl of Bolton driving the Banana that is, as we spun around for the 3rd (?) time I heard the Iggy Pop song in my head 'I am a Passenger'

Hail Be to the great man Williams and his accomplices
My little 18 yr old jalopy may not have had quite enough runway to get that extra few 100 revs in top but fortunately V.Max was achieved somewhat earlier in the day than anticipated. Much thanks to Lord DeR and the Bananna Cowboy for providing the scene for said feat and also to the Pilote du Bannana for passing me at a truly impressive rate of knots, apparently showing a mind bogglingly heroic number on the little readout thingy on the dash! Top bombing!
Thanks as ever to Pods and Rude for the hospitality. Maybe invites are in order next time and "if yer names not on the list sonny..."
Thanks to Luca for the unexpected go in his Tuscan ... yep, makes me want one even more than ever ... and to everyone else for the kind comments on uber-jalopy
Also was a pleasure to meet the infamous Andy Fearnes who gave me an on-the-spot diagnosis on my gear box problem. It seems that the clutch just got so damned hot that it was not releasing properly hence some rather worring crunching noises when i tried to get it into gear! It seems that I may have damaged the synchro or something into 3rd though as anything above 2000 revs it is really not happy. I suspect that a re-furb is in order, just a shame Andy is all the way down at Silverstone.
Anyone know the best place around Leeds or Manchester that really know their stuff on Porsche gearboxes? (and can it be improved whilst I'm at it?)
Until next time

Big thanks from me must go to Ben for allowing me to demonstrate the M roadsters considerable drifting abililties, Neil for the fun in the Golf, Mr Thomas for ably assisting with my tyre damage (sorry about the burns there mate!!) & of course to Craig for pulling together another sucessful event!!
