Day Out Suggestions For Car Fans

Apologies if this isn't in the correct section, but I am looking for some ideas for a day out either Monday the 30th of October or Tuesday the 31st.

My friend has just had an operation on his leg, and although he can walk perfectly fine - driving experiences etc would be out of the question.

We both live in Northamptonshire and travel up to around 2.5 hours would be okay.

Has anyone got any suggestions of what to do? we are both quite big car fans, but are really struggling for good ideas. We have both been to the British Motor Museum recently so this it out of the question.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like we will take a trip to brooklands and benz world. The Morgan Factory tour looks very interesting so may see if we can sneak that in.

Sorry didn't see your suggestions - but thank you, I will certainly keep them in mind

Monday we had a tour of the Morgan factory, and yesterday (Tuesday) we headed over to Brooklands and Merc World.

Both great days out, although I wish we had a bit longer at Merc World (only spent around 35 min in there as it was getting towards rush hour traffic.)
