Next Sunday is a Goodwood Breakfast day - the theme being Forza Italia (although any car is welcome). Three of us are meeting at 7.30am in our F355s at Sainsburys off Junction 7 M27to drive down together.

If anyone would like to join us you are very welcome to!

Thanks for the advice! What time would you suggest trying to arrive by?

Whoahh! Getting there for 7.30am sounds a bit keen for me (us!)

John, I remember you in our convoy - and seeing you nicely sideways at one point ) Not sure on the route - I'd be keen to drive somewhere a little interesting but I'm not the person who started the convoy so not really my decision! Glad to say I haven't had the chips repaired yet so a few more won't matter!

Hope you can make it.

Hi Geoff

I hope that there will be a few more cars joining us and everyone is aiming to arrive for 7.30. I hope to get there a little earlier but to leave together.

I have also heard that a group of Caterhams are meeting near Wickham and it may be able to join them en route too. Would you aim to drive straight to Goodwood along the main roads or would you be happy to take a more interesting route?

We should all be able to meet the Caterham crowd - if we leave Sainsburys at 7.30 we will easily get to Wickham in time. I'm definitely up for this. Do you know where they will meet? In the Square is probably the best bet - unless there is a market being set up.

Would you still come to Sainsburys - and do you know which of your cars you'll be taking?

Thanks - that should work well. If you don't make it to Sainsburys come and say hello at Wickham - I'll be in a dark blue F355.

See you on Sunday - hopefully with a few Lotus and TVRs too )

Excellent - seems we'll have another memorable convoy. Very glad I haven't got around to sorting the stone chips from the last one! Please feel free to spread the word. The more the merrier )

Hi Hope2421

If you can, it would be better to get to Wickham for 8.00am. The Caterhams are taking a country road route which should be fun and avoid the plod - but it means the majority of us won't be going down the motorway as far as junction 11.

Bath of Minogues? Now there's a thought )

I'm sure that all the Caterhams will be stopped long before we arrive on the scene! If the route is similar to ones I've used before there won't be plod in evidence - they tend to stick to major routes - one of the reasons we dont!

Hi John

Good to meet up again with you and everyone else! Shame the Caterhams slowed us down a little - but god knows what the front of my car would have looked like if they hadn't! The front of my car is now mainly white with the odd fleck of blue...

Had a little fun chasing a 360 after Goodwood - in totally the wrong direction and then saw some friends in their TVRs going the other way (when nearly back in Winchester) and ended up following them all the way back to Goodwood!!

Great day. Hope to see you next time.

Hi normalbloke! You must have been one of the leading Caterhams - I overtook half of them and then pulled over to let them regroup and film the convoy as it went past...

Glad you enjoyed it and we appreciated being shown an interesting route!

Hi Tyrone,

It was me with the 355 and the camcorder. Film isn't brilliant - quite shaky not surprisingly... A bigger probelm is that I have no idea how to get it from camcorder to computer! I will try this weekend and see what I can do. Also need to be a little careful - there have been prosecutions lately based on footage from Youtube etc...

Hi

Glad you enjoyed the drive - it was good to see a Countach in the rear view mirror!

I've never even saved anything onto DVD from a camcorder - but I'll see what I can do this weekend. Don't hold your breathe for a great video - I have only seen a little and it was pretty shaky...
