K Series 1.4 to 1.6 Cylinder Liners

Trying to understand what is involved in upgrading a K Series from 1.4 to 1.6.

Specifically, I'm trying to establish if the 1.4 block needs to be modified to accept the 1.6 liners - or are the outside diameters the same?

If the block doesn't need modifying this looks like a simple upgrade - as the crank and concords are the same.

Am I missing something (apart from the ECU)?

My thoughts are if I'm going for forged pistons I could upgrade to 1.6 for very little extra cost.
