Transfer case / Centre differential fluid change
Discussion
Stupid question alert.
I have just changed the fluid in the transfer case on my 2003 Touareg.
The vehicle has a centre differential (automatic locking function with manual 100% locking).
My questions - Are the transfer case and centre differential the same piece of hardware? Do they share fluid or does the centre diff have its own fluid reservoir that also needs changing separately? I am thinking that transfer case = centre diff but not 100% sure.
Thank you.
