I made myself a new throttle cable for the Griff using bits from Vehicle Wiring products. It's not straight forward, because it operates 2 separate throttle bodies on opposite sides of the engine bay.

It has a problem with stiction when opening the throttles. When the throttles are fully closed, and the pedal is pressed, everything is good - the pedal operation is smooth and the pedal feel is a little heavy, but OK. (It's about twice as heavy as my Impreza for very obvious reasons. wink )

However when the pedal is moved from 1/3 open to say 1/2 open it sticks and a lot of force is requiried to move it, and therefore the throttle overshoots. The cables are well oiled with thin oil.

On closing, the throttles do not ever stick open, and I can't feel the cables binding on anything.

All I can think to do is replace the outer sheath with nylon lined sheathing - will this really make enough of a difference?

All help is appreciated!
