Citroen C2 Engine Fault Light On

Hi All,
Am new to PH and wonder if anyone can help with a problem on my wifes C2.
Have had a few instances where engine warning light came on momentarily and corresponding loss of power for 1 or 2 seconds. At last service Citroen were unable to diagnose.
Bank holiday, engine warning light came on and ignition failed completely. RAC replaced ignition coil and advised replacing plugs. Fault light cleared and car ran ok.
Next day on motorway light came back on perminently, about 60 miles from cold, car seemed to run ok. Citroen dealer dignosed intermitant misfire and ageing Catalytic Converter.
Car just out of warrenty and 35K.
Sought independant advice from local garage, advised it could be Cat but unlikely unless problem with long term misfire. Replaced plugs and had emmissions tested. Passed with flying colours.
Drove car next day for approx 25 miles no problems.
Following day after about 15 miles from cold (1/2 mile onto motorway) light came back on perminently, car running ok.
Can anyone offer advice to the problem please? How can I reset the fault light to see when it reoccurs?
