good review from CH, he really nailed the appeal of it and highlights it has something over mclaren/ferrari's atm

re: the stand ignoring you - that's surprising, if I was you i'd complain to Maserati and see if they can rectify the situation

Just like I tell staff at care homes - you cant make someone friendly if they aren't,
you can't teach someone to be kind, you either have it or you don't,
for some reason, they looked down on both of us and I just can't bring myself to spend the money with them,
the rest of Goodwood was great

10k knocked off already from DL Swindon. Hope the flippers haven’t ordered too many as they may not be getting overs for them.

What’s the retail on these? 260k seems pretty high, thought they were supposed to be about 200k.

DL car does have the £34k exterior carbon.
£220-230 is sweet spot for ones that have sold.
My spec just submitted is £230 without carbon, just couldn’t bring myself to spend a Yaris on that.

I wouldn't spec it either its far too much imo and I think plenty of people are getting tired of the exposed carbon everything look! Bits here and there are nice but it is overdone

I did the carbon roof at 5k but nothing else. Probably paint the plastic black.
Going for the subtle look…

Decent (relatively!) when the 296GTB is going to be closer to 300 with spec
My spec is pretty much what I paid for a 488 5 years ago

I admit, I was looking for a mid engine car for daily use the MC20 was not a car I was looking at initially then FS ordered one above. I know the type of cars he likes Ie they have to be great driving cars. Also a good friend over in Spain who works close with current F1 driver has one its the F1 drivers own personal car he just uses it. So my view nothing to lose by having a test drive, after my drive 2 of my friends have also test drove and ordered one. Go and have test drive dealers have demos, but leave your C-card at home.

which dealer are you using as my closest dealer hasn't got a demo car and would really like to drive one before placing an order?

I love this picture and yes I totally agree with you all.

My Maserati visit was planned in advance and still no one could be bothered.

I simply couldn't spend £270,000 with them after being told they wouldn't drop the barrier to sit in the car.

I tried again the following day and it was the same.

Perhaps I just didn't look handsome enough to own "another" Maserati
Bit weird as an MC20 was in the supercar area and was free for anyone to jump in. Equally they had the Cielo there, albeit not available to jump in. Magnificent looking machine! The Maserati person on the stand said, however, that there wasn't a delivery date for it yet, somewhat contradicting above comments - was your dealer able to do a spec / take the full order presumably? It's what I'm after - I thought the hardtop was a piece of art but seeing the Cielo was extra special. Or maybe it was the massive Maserati logo on the back that did it :-)

Wasnt convinced on the large trident on the deck, and even less so when saw it is £1750!

Rest of the car looks fantastic.

Fair play but £270K for a Maserati yikes

Some people with big cahonas on here.
If you think Mclaren residuals are bad I would hate to think what these will be worth in 2 years and how easy they are to move on.
Bet dealer spread will be massive so easy to burn £100k IMHO

Popped into Maranello yesterday and was fortunate enough to take one for a spin (not literal). I was impressed with the balance it has of being able to pull off the grand tourer comfort v's the clear aggressiveness and pace available. I contrast this with my Huracan which is frankly mad regardless of how you drive it, lacks sophistication etc...i.e. what you expect from Lamborghini.

Anyhoo, really enjoyed the MC20. Now the dilemma - delivery in 6-9mths, which strikes me as v reasonable for a pretty new mode supercar. But the Cielo is going to be offered to existing MC20 owners first it seems, and you're looking at 18mths for that. So basically buy a car and after driving it for 9mths you then trade it in for what you actually want, but of course at a really hard to determine value right now. Or wait an estimated 24mths for what you actually want and remove whatever loss you might experience on the MC20, but don't have the driving experience inbetween times. These are of course all dealer-quoted estimates of timescales.

Really tricky...

I don't think it's going to hold its value because they will always bring out the next one

that will be faster and more aggressive or even electric (petrol will be too expensive !!)
